Pros: The location of the hotel.
Cons: Amenities.
Location: French Quarter.
The hotel had no amenities, not enough personal items, like coffee, toilet paper. We were not advised of rules by the staff and we were not given a receipt for cash paid for room, nor a reciept for credit card payment. I had to call the reservation desk when we checked out to ask what we were actually charged for and I also had to call my credit card company to check for charges.

Pros: kostenloser Parkplatz
Cons: abreissen!!!!!!

3 day stay in New Orleans

Posted 1-Mar-2015
Pros: The price
Cons: Just about everthing you could think of to do with apperance, the room is a place to sleep and nothing else.
Location: 5 blocks walk to the French Centre if you are brave enought to walk.
Not the best part of town or the flashs of places that Ive stayed in, but the bed was soft and it would have been nice if they had givn me a blanket, never the less I did sleep.

It was cheap, but you get what you don't pay for.

Pros: The staff was very polite.
Cons: The cleanliness, paint, furniture could use a lot of work, or the cancellation policy.
Location: It's less than 10 minutes walk from bourbon street.
I tried unsuccessfully to cancel the room after seeing it. The ceiling was patched and moldy. The bathtub was covered in chipping paint. There were parts of the floor we had to avoid, afraid we'd fall through. No furniture, no closet. The bed had plastic on it: to protect it from me, or me from it, I wasn't sure. There was no handle on the door, just a deadbolt and a cabinet pull. You couldn't leave the premises with your keys. You'd have to give your last name and room number (but no id?!) upon return. If you ask for more toilet paper, they give you a roll that has been started, with a piece of tape holding it closed. The only good thing I have to say was the staff was very polite, but I felt bad for them. And that it was the lowest price for the proximity to downtown. I'd never stay here again, my safety is worth more to me.

OK budgethotell

Posted 23-Feb-2015
Pros: Personalen.

Worst Hotel Ever

Posted 28-Jan-2015
The place is a dump. The room was filthy. There was a space heater and a window unit AC. Cigarette holes were in the bedding and painting above the bed. There was a grimy rug which had been cut in half. Out bed linens were handed to us in a plastic grocery bag. The door did not have a deadbolt. We were told to leave our key each time we left the hotel. We went to dinner and ended up finding a much nicer hotel a few blocks away so we checked out of The Empress. The clerk at the nicer hotel had a look of repulsion on her face when we told her where we had almost stayed. The place really should be shut down.

Not a hotel for tourist.

Hotel is close to the French quarter. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money stay somewhere else. I know I will next time I go to New Orleans.
