"Very Pleasantly Suprised"
We were somewhat apprehensive about staying at the EL Cortez as it is a very old hotel. Our concerns were put aside after the hassle free check in, and seeing our very nice Tower room. Huge, comfortable beds, nice little sittting area, as well as all the normal amenities. More like a mini suite. I have stayed at pricer hotels with a lot less. I will definatly stay there on my next visit to Vegas.

"Great Night!"
My friends and I stayed at The D for one night. We loved it! From the moment we walked in to the hotel to check in, we had a great feeling! Arriving to check in was a little confusing. You have to park in the parking deck (level 7 or above) to check in. Once you've checked in you use your room key to get in and out of the parking deck. We met a couple of staff members on the elevator down from the parking garage to check in and they were some of the nicest people! Once we got to the check-in counter we were greeted with more kindness. I will say that the main level (casino level) is VERY loud, like out at a club LOUD. But very posh! Beautiful colors, and look to the interior. We headed up to our room on the 16th floor, and once on the elevator, you don't really notice the noise anymore. The hallways were very quiet and clean, as well as our room. We didn't have the greatest view, but the room was spacious and beautiful! The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows were great! The bathroom wasn't the best. It didn't look as updated as I thought it would, but it was still decent. The shower was a normal size and seemed clean, however, turning the shower on was a bit of a challenge. It could have used some instructions. lol Other than that, we absolutely LOVED the experience and the hotel! Check out was an absolute breeze! We did check out at 3:30 am though. Hope this review helps!

"Comfortable and perfect for active vegas goers"
This hotel is great. . Very clean and comfortable. Nothing crazy fancy, but that's not what we wanted. It was a warm soft bed, tv and clean bathroom. Perfect for those who gamble and want to see the town, then come back to basically recharge and go again! Right in the middle of the best freemont street action.

"Great Hotel at the top end of Fremont street"
We arrived early and was able to check in for an additional fee that was reasonable. We had a beautiful room with a view of the surrounding hills, very large and roomy, non smoking, with king size bed. Room looked and smelled new. decor was very pleasant with a love seat and glass topped table. We checked out the exercise room and found it clean and sufficient different machines to suit most anyone's needs plus cold water to drink and towels to use. We did not make it to the pool. The restaurant next to the lobby was clean and the food was outstanding, though a bit pricey, however, the portions were large enough that we just ordered one order and was able to split it and we were both to full to finish everything. The waiter was fun and very helpful, such a delight. There was a food court within the hotel with all kinds of different foods that people like and a little bistro that had wonderful sandwiches, salads, breakfast muffins and cakes, the best Italian Ice cream and many different drinks and snacks. The coffee was outstanding there. The casino was well arranged so you could find your way around, we did not notice the smoke so must have put in new ventilation system since we were there many years ago. Dealers were friendly and tables were neat and tidy. Over all we had a wonderful stay there.

"Great hotel!"
the only problem with this hotel was the small bathroom when we opened the door it ran into the toilet. And the view of the air conditioner. Overall it was great a nice updated room. Comfy bed and great place to rest your head after playing all day.

"Great stay!"
Our room was clean and great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had were these other people that were staying there. They were very loud due to being in an argument but other than that, I would stay here again.
