“Pricy for a too soft bed”

Frederickton prices in general are too high compared to similar North American cities. While this was a cleaner hotel with a more spacious room than the one we stayed at a couple of months ago, the bed left a lot to be desired. Also no hot tub/sauna. However, breakfast was better than average.

“Good Price, good value, will stay here again”

We stayed here for 6 nights as we were getting our son settled at UNB. Close to campus, close to shopping, close to everything. Best price in town and they throw in free breakfast every morning. Coffee is good too! King-size bed with a large clean room. Best bang for your buck in Fredericton. We'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Area recommendations

I'd recommend Prospect street area as it has all the shopping you could want and it is close to all other amenities that Fredericton has to offer.

Getting around

Fredericton is very easy to get around as the city is well planned by grid. The main streets to remember are Regent street, Prospect street, Queen street & Hanwell road.

“Great location for fastball spectating!”

Just returned from a week at the fastball championships. Location was great as right beside the ball park we were at. The hotel is older but clean, staff was friendly and the beds very comfortable. The only downside was that the air conditioning is very loud. Would stay again.

“Would stay again, with out question :)”

This hotel, though a little dated, was extremely clean, fast check in and check out by very friendly staff. The walls are not to sound proof, but except for the fact that the ice machine was right next to our room, our stay was quiet and uninterrupted. There was everything you needed in a free continental breakfast to get you going in the morning. Would not hesitate to stay again if in the area.

“basics”

NOthing to write home about but clean and convenient stop on way to PEI. My biggest issue is that the hotel only has double beds, so a bit of a tight squeeze overnight for the 4 of us.

Area recommendations

If you can get ot the downtown, Frederiction is a beautiful city not yet wasted by society. Historical, quaint.

“Clean, good location next to local park, walking distance to dining”

This property is a older and showing its age in some ways (peeling trim, tired tub), but is well-kept and clean with friendly staff and a good complimentary breakfast. One thing I particularly liked is that it's right beside a large city park that is largely forested and filled with walking trails... great for getting out and stretching your legs. It's also within a 20-30 minute's walk from a variety of restaurants and shopping.

“One night in Fredericton”

Very friendly atmosphere in a somewhat old hotel. Clean but could be renovated. Good value for money. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Next to Botanical Garden. Great for walking and jogging (hills though)

“Lovely Lakeview Inn”

I stayed here for four days during my summer holiday. This was the first time I patronized this hotel chain and I found it to be adequate. While this is not the newest hotel in town, it did meet my expectations. The reservation was handled efficiently and check in was quick. The room was a two room suite with separate living and sleeping quarters. Internet connection is provided free of charge and I did not experience any difficulties with it. The furnishings are dated; however, all are in good repair. Breakfast is provided in the lobby with choices being standard from cold cereal to make your own breakfast sandwiches. If I ever require accommodations in Fredericton again, I know I can count on a pleasant stay at this property.

Dining

The Hilltop Restaurant was recommended to me and I pass along my recommendation. It has been made up to reflect the road house ambiance. The food is great, service prompt, and prices reasonable. They also offer a daily special.

“Excellent place to stay”

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and highly recommend it. Very friendly, quite clean and comfortable, great breakfast and within walking distance of some nice restaurants.
