“Good Quality and location”
We stayed at this apart hotel for 2 nights as part of our Australia trip. Fantastic apartment in excellent condition. Located just up from the Marina.Ideally located for our trip. All the mod conns and very helpful staff even when we arrived after the 6pm deadline for the reception. No problem for the guy on the end of the contact number to let us in. Could have stayed longer here.
“Excellent Urangan hotel”
We liked this place. The hotel was fine. Quite quiet because it was out of season (no whale watching). We were given a huge apartment for the two of us. It was well appointed and relatively quiet despite being near a roundabout - the noisiest things were some remarkably tuneless birds. Our only complaint is that the pillows were too hard - it does make a difference. Good outdoor swimming pool - a bit overlooked from the hotel and the road. We were glad we stayed in Urangan and not in any other part of Hervey Bay - a town which stretches endlessly down the coast and inland and, out of season at least, doesn't have a lot to recommend it. The Akama Resort is very conveniently placed within walking distance of the marina and and small ferry port (for Fraser Island). One or two restaurants and cafes (varying from smart to ordinary) within walking distance too along the seafront. Very relaxed feel to it but I imagine it does get more hectic in season. An excellent, vibrant and friendly marina club near the port serves excellent choice of food and also possible to buy alcohol there. Urangan isn't the holiday place of one's dreams and there are really only two reasons to go there: to watch whales and to get to Fraser Island but it serves these purposes well and we would stay at the Akama again. Car essential for getting in and out of Hervey Bay area.
“Pied à terre confortable”
Tout d'abord attention aux horraires d'ouverture de la réception, en effet celle-ci est rarement ouverte, environ 4 à 6h par jour. Mis à part ça, nous avions un appartement de grand standing, trés confortable. L'hôtel se situe à 100m du port de départ des ferries pour fraser island. La piscine n'est pas trés grande, mais correcte tout de même.
