first room i went to smelled like marijuana, had to change rooms. new room had hairs in the bed when I arrived, they cMe and changed bedding Door had small gap where someone could see in. i had to shove a hand cloth in the gap. floors are filthy. continuous drip in the bathroom faucet..the list can go on. I arrived late and needed a room for just 1 night or i would have left.

Older hotel trying to maintain and without doing a full remodel are maintaining it good. The staff kept it clean with the exception of the carpet which could have used a cleaning. Our room was far enough from the highway that we slept well. Being a half mile from grocery and restaurant was also ok.

Non-smoking room wreaked of smoke odor enough to irritate my eyes. There were cigarette ashes on the night stand between the beds. Only about an eighth of a roll of toilet paper in the room. And worse of all there were several roaches in the bathroom (I counted 6 st one time). We stay at this hotel for one reason only - proximity to our son’s home (next closest is about 30 miles further) guess we’ll have a longer drive next time!

Dirty Hotel.
The hotel was extremely dirty. The bed sheets had not been changed from the previous guest. There were no towels in the bathrooms.

VERY DIRTY, GROSS ROOM
We requested and it was confirmed a King "NON SMOKING" room. When we first entered the room, it was nice. There was a king and double bed. Went into the bathroom and noticed we had 1/4 roll of toilet paper. So I went to office and requested more and 2 more towels. She asked my why and then with a frown, gave them to me. We were in a hurry and didn't pay much attention to the room and we didn't noticed the smoke smell at that time. We turned up the heat and then left. When we returned much later, I kind of noticed the smell, but, wasn't sure. It wasn't till the middle of the night, I woke up and was so stuffed up, My husband had the same problem. The smoke smell was very strong. I think when I turned on the heat, it stirred up the smoke smell. Also, when you flushed the toilet, water leaked out from the bottom. When I pulled the towel floor mat off the tub to wipe up the water, there were cigarette burns all along the tub. The room was very dirty. Stains were in all the chairs. Mold was on the bottom of the shower curtain. When we checked out of the room, we told the man (owner)about the water that leaked when you flushed the toilet and he got very defensive and yelled at my husband that they always check everything and there wasn't anything wrong! Due to the smoke, very dirty room, and attitude of the owners, we will never stay here again!

Sorry for the inconvenience for your staying here. We gave the towels and toilet paper too with kindly but they didn't realize. Next time when be back we give some off rates and be gladly accept our hotel amenities.

Not impressed!
We travel with two very well behaved dogs and clean-up all of their outdoor droppings. We made sure the dogs were not in the room when cleaning was to be performed. However, our room was not serviced unless we requested it from the maid. We had to get towels from her cart and ask that the carpet be vacuumed. Our beds were never made and we had to put the trash outside the door. The ad says "pet friendly", and we paid $20 a night extra for the dogs. The water pressure in the shower was awful. We will never stay in this motel, again.

Whatever happened to you and sorry from humble but you should say in the office desk so we will gladly correct it. Pet friendly means welcome the pet but have to pay extra for the guest as human.so next time please be with us and we will make a happy to you.

The staff was nice enough and the price is ok but when I woke up with bugs all over me and my pillow I had enough of the Budget Inn. Also don't walk barefooted because of the sharp tacks in the carpet. Other than that enjoy your stay!

Definitely recommended for the no-frills traveler.
Visiting my family in the Kittrel area this past week (9.12-19.16) and decided to book a room for a couple nights at this location. I have to admit what attracted me was it's proximity and price. I will base my rating on the merits of price vs expectations. I believe that you get what you pay for. That being said, I can happily recommend this motel to anyone who is looking for a place to stop for the night. Or, also, as a base to explore the area. The WiFi connection is strong. My room came with a mini-fridge and microwave. Which, I am not sure was listed in the room description, but a pleasant surprise. The other guests were a diverse crowd of traveling families, construction workers on assignment and locals looking for a night out of the house. The location being on US1 between Raleigh and Henderson, gives you easy access to the surrounding area. Particularly if, you are like me, and enjoy a good drive in the country. Be advised that traffic on US1 from Raleigh north to Franklinton does experience regular congestion on the weekdays between 3-6:00pm. It is a roadside motel in all of the traditional sense.

Cheap Accommodations. You DO get what you pay for.
I was a little hesitant to visit this motel but I needed to stay somewhere cheap. I requested a non-smoking room and the room reeked of smoke. The bed had a top and bottom sheet and the bed spread - no blanket at all. There was black hairs on the stained pillow cases and the stained towels. I believe they were clean but just stained. There was something melted (or that melted) on the vanity. The grout in the bathroom was stained brown and the cleanliness of toilet itself was questionable. The wallpaper was peeling and all of the furniture and fixtures were worn. On the positive side the air conditioner worked very well and I actually needed to turn it warmer after about 15 minutes after being off all day. The TV was large and new and there was a coffee maker with free coffee. The room was quite large and there was plenty of room with only one king sized bed.

If you just need a place to lie your head
There are not that many choices around Wake Forest to stay. The few ones that are available are in a much higher price category. I generally don't stay in hotels that are less than 3 stars because I am always worried when I turn out the lights. This place was fine with regards to that but It was okay for a couple of nights.

It's a good place to stay if you want something quick. Not a cheap price. Rooms were clean but overall building conditions were kind of run down. They take advantage of the fact that there are very few hotels in the area and charge way too much for a room. Next time I'll stay at a hotel further out.

Thank you for the great service. Staff called when I was slow arriving due to concert Norris Creek in Louisburg going on for long time (good location near venue). Friendly staff even at midnight! Let me know car light was on so battery would not die. Nice coffee in the room!

Not worth the money
The only good thing I can say about this motel is the location. Everything else about this motel was lacking in my opinion. It was really tough to control the room temp, either too warm or way too cold. Hot water in the shower was a crap shoot, sometimes there was plenty, sometimes it was cold as ice. For the lack of services available at this motel, I would expect to pay 20 to 30% less money that the rate I was charged. You can do much better for the money.
