“Great location, big bathroom, great breakfast”

I stayed here for about 8 hours because of a forced layover. Service was excellent, the minibar was free, the bathroom was unusually large, everything was clean, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. Very close to the Frankfurt central train station, about 2 minutes walking.

“Good Stopover Choice”

Rather than a more expensive airport hotel, the National proved to be excellent value in a downtown location across from the railway station (no noise). The rooms, while somewhat dated, are larger than the European norm. Our upgrade to a three-bed room was huge. An excellent breakfast is served in the hotel dining room but no other meals are available. There are restaurants nearby and the large downtown shopping area is a 15 minute walk. front desk staff were helpful and courteous.

“Friendly staff. Good location.”

This hotel has the friendliest staff. Reasonably priced as a 3-1/2 star hotel. Situated perfectly... just a stone's throw away from Frankfurt's Hauptbanhof (Main railway station).

“A good hotel”

Location is very convenient if you want to be close to the public transit. There is a train which takes you to Terminal 1 at the airport and if you buy a weekly transit pass the ride to/from airport is included. Nice, small hotel close to the central train station (Hauptbahnhof), turkish markets and walking distance (10-15) minutes on foot to Zeil (shopping street). I wish the hotel had provided me with a double bed and not two singles, I would be more comfortable.

“Central Location and friendly staff.”

We were travelling in and out of Frankfurt by train so it was important for the hotel to be close to the train station. The hotel was centrally located to walk to other areas as well. Very convenient location. The staff was very helpful giving us directions to places we wanted to go. The hotel is older and not air conditioned but the room was provided with a fan as the weather was hot. The room was small and the bathroom was newly renovated. Energy saving practices were in use.

“Old hotel with large rooms kept in great condition.”

I arrived a day before my booking, the hassle free policy got me a room within the hour and these guys were busy. I'd take people back there for a short stay. .

“ok”

Hotel was ok. But no help with getting internet to work downstairs. The reception tried but did not know what to do to get the internet in English. Room was ok, but not sure about cleanliness of sheets. Bathroom was clean. Location close to train station. Hotel ok for the price.

“Some improvements and some dissapointments.”

Rooms have been updated since my last stay, a real improvement. Requested early check in as I was on an over night flight from Canada. No early check in avalible had to wait for room, cold weather and raining made for no were to go except lobby, I know there is no assurance of early check in but they did not seem to be to concern about my situation. Breakfast has gone down hill since my last visit and was dissapointing, limited selection and hot dishes were cold, some lunch meats had actually dried out from sitting for so long, certainly not woth the 10 euro charge.

“Poor service, bad neighborhood and lack of comfort.”

The staff was not great. There was one clerk who was helpful, but that was it. We had a rental car and we checked prior to check in regarding the cost of parking. We then asked again at the desk and were given a higher quote. The elevator was very slow. The room was almost unbearable because there was no air conditionng and no fan was provided. We had to leave our car keys with the front desk in case the car had to be moved, which it did throughtout the night. When we asked for our keys the next morning we were given them and then asked where our car had been moved. The male clerk was terrible. He said he didn't know where our rental car was and that we'd just have to find it oursleves. This is THE worst customer service we've ever experienced. Also, when we arrived, some towels in our room were actually dirty and had lipstick on them. The area was close to the main train station but seemed a little dangerous. We avoided that area at night. We also had to complain one morning, at 4am, because the people staying in the next troom were being very noisy. Would never consider staying here agin.Ro
