The entrance to the hotel is hard to find. Most entrances are in the front of the building and clearly marked. Our party and a second group of hotel guests walked around trying to find how to enter the building. The entrance is at the back of the hotel!!! What? Why not have signs that clearly point this out? In addition, they are in the process of relocating their checkin area to another building on the property - we stumbled into that building to find construction and no staff. The man from the other party called the hotel using his cell phone asking for help to find the front desk. A staff member came to collect us and bring us to the correct building. It was just weird. Plus, the hotel emailed us to inform us that if we did not plan on eating breakfast at their hotel that "they strongly recommend we cancel our resorvation". Weird again.

This little hotel doesn't look like much but it's quite amazing. Close to the train station, restaurants, stores for groceries and the Franken Therme. They can do early check in at 1100. My wife and u showed up at almost 0900 and they let us check in and have breakfast when we got there. Super friendly and nicely kept. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is quiet and clean. Only downside is the stairs to the rooms, not a problem unles your luggage is very heavy.
The food is the best we had in Bavaria, including a Nuremberg stay.
Staff is friendly, and the location above Erlangen made for a fast trip back to the Frankfurt Airport at the end of our trip.

This is the only hotel I stayed in where none of the staff spoke a word of English. The proprietor was a very pleasant gentleman that, when he realized I didn't speak German, showed me everything I needed to know while rattling on in German. I didn't understand a word he said and understood everything he was talking about. Every word was accompanied by hand signals that conveyed the meaning perfectly. When he asked what time I wanted breakfast, there was the very clear sign of someone eating followed by numbers. Very well done.

This is a very quaint hotel. Staff is very friendly; hotel has a family feel to it. Located in very small town of Erlabrunn, about a 10 minute drive from Wurzburg. You will need a car if you are planning on going into Wurzburg. We were very satisfied with our stay. Nice Restaurant attached to hotel. Food was good, breakfast included. Would stay here again.
