Charming hotel in a beautiful city! The complimentary breakfast is delicious. The rooms are big and clean and the bed is super comfortable. There are bo elevators in the building so if you’re unable to do stairs, this is something to consider. The location is perfect! Would highly recommend!

My room was very cold, even with the radiators on. My nephew’s room was warm, which made me jealous! And I misunderstood if it had a restaurant or not. I thought it did, but the actual food was dessert. Thank you for a nice stay, tho!

The garden and the setting within the walls were most outstanding. The breakfast was also nothing short of magnificent. The service was impeccable. And the price was reasonable. We will stay here again.

Hot. Small. Noisy. Terrible pillow. Bad sleep.
It's ok. Beautiful place, good breakfast, great location, nice people. But the room is too hot, forcing you to keep windows AND door AND bathroom vent+light on when you return, just to cool it down. I was lucky and able to turn off the vent and close the door after a while, but rude, thoughtless people continue to tromp by and flap their jaws on the street below until 1 in the morning, disturbing any attempt to sleep with the window open. There are no fans. You also get ONE down-filled, flatter than paper pillow. It might be worth coming back in the late fall/winter/early spring, but even in September when the air is cool, the room is too hot-hotter than the hallway. Not fun to return to when you desperately need a place to cool down. On-site parking is practically non-existent, so no, parking is not "available." There's a shed where 5 vehicles all double park and block the entire driveway. Thankfully, they directed me where to park-a little ways outside the gate, not far to walk, and free. No issue with it, but the hotels.com info is misleading, and since it was one of the reasons I picked this place, I'm not pleased about that. Room listing is also wrong. No separate sitting area, no room computer, and very small. Wish they would give the rooms a fan. Until then, fling the windows open wide, leave the vent on all night if you need. Leave them cracked during the day and check back to be sure no one has closed them.

We greatly enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there again. Unfortunately, because of our last minute booking, we got one of their smallest rooms which required my husband to climb into and out of bed because his side was against the wall. The bathroom was also quite small, particularly where the toilet was located. Seeing the other rooms when they were open and being serviced made us jealous! We loved the enclosed beer garden and their onsite cafe. The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of options, and the Dining rooms are quite lovely. On-site parking is limited, but there is plenty of parking within an easy walk outside the city walls, and paid street parking is also available.

Cute and comfortable place, good location, superb breakfast, friendly people. My only complaint is that they had a lot of trouble figuring out how to get paid by Expedia, which caused us a slow-down. Maybe they are new at the process?

We had an excellent stay at this guest house. It was perfectly located in old town, within walking distance of all the highlights. Breakfast was included with our stay. It was a loved meat cheese and fruit assortment. The staff we very friendly and helpful and the room was pristine and spacious. Will stay there again when I bring family to visit.

Could Not Have Asked for More
Wonderfully quaint hotel minutes walking to market center, Plönlein, entrance to Tower Wall. You are right in middle of Old Toen Rothenburg. The owner was wonderfully accommodating and staff could not be friendlier. Room was spacious enough and tile floor for two large dogs (50 and 30 kg) and back exit of hotel led to exit in Tower Wall to park for walking them. Parking garage for 15 euros a night. No electric kettle in room but no need as breakfast in first floor cafe comes with room. Really wonderful place.

First night was amazing. Wasted most of second/last day their trying to do laundry I was told that morning would be no problem. Second had less than agreeable checkout initially over wasting my time there when they wanted me to pay full price for amenities/staff that caused 4+ hrs of wasted time. Overall good place to stay but needs some communication improvements & I wish the back patio door would close as it made hallways drafty/cold.

The room was very tiny and dark. The cupboard where you needed to store your luggage did not even have a light. Upon check in we were offered a larger room for a significant up charge. In discussions with other guests, room changes did not involve additional costs. Breakfast was overcrowded and chaotic although the lady in charge did her best to accommodate everyone. The towels were in dire need of replacement. The young lady at checkout was very friendly and helpful.

Prices quoted on hotels.com differed from price charged when booking in. Hotel did not care and we could take it or leave it. Arrived late did not give us much choice. No fridge in room, no Airconditioning. Tv did not work, no tea or coffee in room. Nowhere after 8.00pm to get a drink or assistance with the tv. Clean but overpriced.

I cannot believe when you book with hotel .com you get the price you chose. We are a threestar hotel not four .only some hotels have aircondition arrival is till 6 pm and our prices are not high at all .fourstar is about 200 euro and our prices are between 98 and 140 euro . We do what we can and people are happy!

The room was dissapointingly dirty, hair in bathroom, floor dirty, walls stained. The front desk told us we could park for free from 6pm to 9 am, but we had a parking ticket in the morning.

Wonderful old world experience! Beautiful garden to relax in after your day of touring. Bountiful breakfast was elegantly prepared complete with proseco for your mimosa. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely return. Note: no elevator so if steps are a problem for you, think twice.

We arrived from Fussen after staying at a lovely local hotel there-with an auto at 4:40pn we emailed ahead but no parking. Consider you’ll not be able to park at this hotel. The front desk man was very friendly and explained the coffee cart is closed when the office closes at 6pm. (no hotel service at all from 6pm-until they return the next day) The front door is locked and only alley use is available. So when you come and go with luggage you’ll need to leave through the back and walk through the cable stoned alley & around the block to the nearest parking with your luggage. It’s very dark without lighting. The only part of our stay that was as expected is the actual room. It looks the same as the photo. With that said, our superior room had poor lighting. The canapé bed was very rickety, the duvet is very small. As for the bathroom, the toilet had tissue when we arrived and never fully flushed. Terrible towels, skimpy and edges frayed,1 wash cloth filled with dark lint, 1 push soap. The fan never turned off. No amenities in the room and none available after 6pm. The courtyard in the back fills with everyone’s used glasses and dishes until the staff returns in the morning. We were looking for a local experience however there are dozens of full service hotels in Rothenburg to choose from. We would not choose this hotel again especially after seeing all the wonderful options. We wouldn’t call this a hotel. It’s a room. I’m thankful our stay short.

Great hotel with excellent location inside city walls; walkable to everything in Rothenburg. We had apartment-style room that had fridge, separate sink, utensils and glasses which was perfect for family with kids. Included breakfast was excellent. Parking garage available and it just fit a medium size SUV.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. We paid an extra 10€ to park in the hotel parking lot and the next day when we checked out and couldn’t get the streets parking meter to work, she wrote us a special note so that we wouldn’t get ticketed. The room was spotless but tiny. The blinds at the bathtub window didn’t work and the bed’s mattress was hard. The breakfast was amazing!
