Situated on a private beach, the Seaside Inn is at the southeastern end of Sanibel Island, within a mile of the Sanibel Lighthouse and half a mile from Causeway Blvd, leading back to the mainland. Periwinkle Way, with restaurants, galleries, and boutiques, is also within a half-mile, and the Dunes Golf and Tennis Club, where guests receive discounts, is within 1.5 miles.
Complimentary breakfast baskets, with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, and juice, are delivered to guestrooms nightly for the following morning. Other complimentary amenities include bicycles, a lending library with paperbacks and DVDs, and beach chairs and umbrellas.
The inn's outdoor pool and shuffleboard court overlook the Gulf of Mexico. A picnic area by the pool offers barbecue grills and tables.
The Seaside Inn is a smoke-free property.

Seaside Inn's 32 guestrooms, renovated in March 2012, offer views of the Gulf of Mexico or the palm-fringed pool and gardens. Rooms have private screened balconies or shared decks. Kitchenettes are outfitted with compact refrigerators, sinks, microwaves and toasters.
Clock radios/CD players, and in-room safes are provided. TVs come with HBO, the Disney Channel, and DVD players. Wireless Internet access and local calls are complimentary.
All rooms are smoke-free.

Seaside Inn has its own private beach and offers complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. Sanibel Island is famous for the wide variety of shells found on its beaches, especially shells from the island's many indigenous mollusk species. A fine day could be spent combing the resort's beach and surrounding beaches for interesting specimens.
A heated outdoor pool and a shuffleboard court overlook the Gulf. Complimentary bicycles are available for exploring the island, which boasts 17 miles of bike paths.
Guests receive discounts at the semi-private Dunes Golf and Tennis Club, about 1.5 miles away. The back nine of the Dunes golf course is an Audubon-sanctioned wildlife preserve, where many species of native wildlife can be observed. The club also has seven Har-Tru tennis courts.

“Great Sanibel base location.”
This hotel provides a nice base location for Sanibel activities. The continental breakfast provided in the room each day was just perfect to get us ready for our days out exploring the island. Nice laundry facilities. The Inn is on the lighthouse end of the island, but nothing is very far away on Sanibel, and we appreciated the location away from the middle of the traffic.
“Time at Seaside Sanibel!”
From the time we arrived, we were most welcomed and each time we returned to the front desk, each of the hotel workers were so nice to us and helpful. The room was lovely and the area is just what we wanted.

Hôtel bien situé (en face de la plage et équipé d'une piscine chauffée), avec une chambre permettant de faire (un peu) la cuisine. Cher, mais à relativiser par rapport aux prix en cours sur Sanibel... Le petit déj' est relativement bien fourni, mais pour des français on a préféré compléter avec du pain grillé et du beurre (un toaster est disponible dans la chambre). Enfin, prêt de vélo gratuit pour découvrir l'île...

Perfect place to vacation with your family especially if you have small kids. Convenient to pool and beach. Nice breakfast basket each day. Comfortable, quiet hotel. Great beach with lots of shells, nice pool.

Have stayed here before and was familiar with the facility. It's quiet and relaxing. The staff has always been helpful. Would return again!!
“Everything we'd wanted and more”
The Seaside Inn was just as I read: relaxed, comfortable, convenient, and so very beautiful. I loved our room looking out to the ocean with the little balcony area. Not a problem to share with our friendly neighbors. The small kitchenettes were perfect for eating in. The bathrooms were very nice and deck. Desk people were friendly and willing to assist with questions at any time. I loved the location of the hotel on the island. I especially appreciated the chairs and umbrellas brought to the beach daily. Carpeting in room had several stains but didn't deter us from enjoying the stay.

The seaside inn was the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. it was very quiet and the staff was very helpful.

Being able to stay on the beach in this Wonderful Inn even made it better. The staff was very nice, and the room was excellent. The Breakfast basket came the afternoon before, so you could get up in the morning any time you liked, and your food was there. Loved it, will stay again!

“Best Vacation I've ever had!!”
I can't say enough good things about my stay at the Seaside. We went with our two kids, who are 1 and 5 years old. The hotel staff was amazing, the location was CRAZY awesome, the room was clean (and they have great amenities there!). I'm sure there are people who would pick at little things, there might be dirt in the corner of the bathroom, or something ridiculous. But, it didn't matter. We walked out of our room and we were literally on the beach of the Gulf of Mexico. We rode bikes around the island for free. We got this basket of food every day with fruit cups, bagels (no they weren't fresh, but, but it didn't matter, it filled our bellies so we could get back to the fun) juice, coffee... The staff was amazing. One guy that delivered pizza to our room said that the Seaside was his favorite hotel on the island. The only thing I would do next year is get the cottage room. For a family staying a week, it would be well worth it for a little extra room. There is a great restaurant down the road you can ride a bike to for breakfast, and then have ice cream right after :) Love, love, love the Seaside Inn. I'll go back year after year with my family. I'm hooked!
