“Nice to come to in a snowstorm!”
Although I did not spend much time at the hotel, the suite was quite spacious, the bed comfy, and the shower adequate. I had the pleasure of driving up to the plant in a snowstorm ( Lol) so it was nice to have underground parking. Breakfast at The Pantry was tasty and the service friendly.
“Nice Stay”
Hotel was nicer than had previously thought, I had the king suite room which was a large room and extremely comfortable. Whenever next in Ft.Mcmurray for business or pleasure I will stay here again!

Loved the King suite 2 rooms very nice!great service, but there was no heat in the pool and the jets didn't work in the hot tub would go back with no plans to swim!

For the price you dont get much. Maybe I was expecting more than I should have. Will try another hotel next time I'm in Ft. McMurray
“Few redeeming qualities”
I spend about half my year in hotel rooms. This one was in the bottom 10%. I have stayed at better hotels in Fort Mac. I won't be staying at Merit again. A few observations: - clocks of cities in different time zones at check in had two that were wrong - desk clerk said bar was closed (it wasn't) - no hand soap in bathroom - all numbers and words worn off ancient tv remote - iron cord frayed

Under construction I wish I would have known I would have chosen a differen hotel!
“Room booked for two”
Not sure why only one face cloth was provided for 2 people. Only one coffe cup. when went to the front desk; she seemed to think we wanted to steal it or something, the next day we got some paper take out cups.:( Our room keys kept unmagnetizing. Stayed in 2 other chains this vacation without this happening once. We also had the smallest queen size bed I have ever seen.
