“Perfect affordable cozy apartment right across the street from the beach!”
The hotel was very clean and cozy, all of the appliances worked perfectly, location is more than perfect, tons of restuarants and shops within five minute walking distance and the beautiful beach just a walk across the street! staff was more than helpful and accomodating and really helped us to enjoy our stay! will definitely be booking with them the next trip down here!
“Will always go back to this hotel”
It is a pity some people did not like this hotel. I have been going there every month and each time, the staff made their utmost to help nad please... I usually deal with George who always walks the extra Miles Thank you to all, I shall naturally come back. Michele
“Hidden Gem on the Beach”
The Tropic cay is right accross the street from the beach. I had a blast, this is the best area ever. The rooms are large and comfortable. I was upgraded to an ocean view and it was great. They have a nice Tiki bar on property, the bartenders are nice and friendly. This is more than I expected for the price.

i LOVED IT! IT HAD A KITCHEN AND IT WAS PERFECT FOR ME AND MY BOYFRIEND, IF WE DIDNT WANT ROOM SERVICE THEY WOULD BRING UP TOWELS! tHE PLACE IS NOT FANCY LIKE THE REAL EXPENSIVE HOTELS, BUT IT IS WORTH THE MONEY!!! jUST BE CAREFUL WITH THE STEP BY THE DOOR, I TWISTED MY ANKLE AND IT DOESNT WANT TO HEAL!!! :( oVERALL, VERY SATISFIED!! NOISE: QUIET ROOM SERVICE: AWESOME BAR TENDER: HOT! RETURNING TO HOTEL: IN SEPTEMBER!

THIS HOTEL IS YOUR TYPICAL SPRING BREAK HOTEL. EVERYTIME MY HUSBAND AND I GO TO FORT LAUDERDALE THIS IS WHERE WE STAY. IT HAS A GREAT POOL BAR AND THE BEACH IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. RESTAURANTS ARE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCES AND A CVS FOR EMERGENCY NECESSITIES.
“Close to many activities ... you can walk!”
The service and accommodations at this hotel were very good. The only drawback was that the pool was not heated and was extremely cold. It was winter, but we expected the pool to be heated. The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring the beach and the beach areas. You don't need to drive anywhere to have fun.
“Good Hotel in a Perfect Location”
This hotel is definitely not what everyone makes it out to be, its better. While it could use a little bit of attention in the rooms, the property itself is in a prime location in Fort Lauderdale. It is just across the street from the beach and has its very own bar. While it is well within walking distance to walk down to the nightlife of Fort Lauderdale, if you are just looking for a place to grab a drink and enjoy some company in the evenings, you do not even have to leave the hotel. I have to say that the location and the service provided by the staff made my stay here very memorable and I would encourage anyone to stay here
“STAYING AT THE TROPIC CAY”
the tropic cay was not so bad... the pools were 24 hour so we could go in them at any time, the rooms were pretty big but a little dated. there was no ice machine working so we had to go use the ice machine in another hotel so it was not too pleasant but id say id rent at the tropic cay again.... just will be more prepared next time
