“One of the best hotels I've been to!!!!”

The flight was horrible, the airport lost our luggage so we were running about 3 hours behind. I called "Ronny Dee Resort Motel" to let them know and I was very happy to hear that it was not a big deal and that they had the room ready for us. The staff was wonderful, I felt as we were staying with relatives. The room was perfect. Spotless and about a block away from the beach. Pool was very well maintained and clean. All the time! My husband and 7 year old daughter were also very pleased with this hotel.

“Cool! Retro 1950's Can't wait to go back!!”

Ronny Dee's is a really cool restored 1950's retro hotel. Very nice courtyard with pool. Very nice owners. Can;t wait to go back! AL

“Home away from home”

I would have given all 5's but our first room was sort of cramped. This motel is geared as a housekeeping motel, which we didn't really know when we booked it. There was a coffee maker in our room but we would have had to put the machine on the floor to reach any electrical outlets! They opened the kitchenette for us even though we hadn't paid extra for it, but at least we could make coffee and have coffee cups! We moved to a one-bedroom apt when it came available and we were much more comfortable with a full kitchen. Great location, right across the street from the beach access. Very quiet and homey. Love the proprietors. We will be back!

“Great place to stay in Pompano Beach!”

We had a very pleasant stay at the Ronny Dee in Pompano. The room and bathroom were very clean. The staff is nice and friendly and responsive. The pool was beautiful - in a nice sunny spot. Beach access was nearby. We would definitely stay there again the next time we're in Pompano.

“Second time around”

My first stay was for four nights in April, and I liked it so much, when I saw I had to fly back to south Florida for a wedding this was the first hotel I looked up, so I booked a six-night stay in October. I even requested the same room and they accomodated me no problem. Literally a 2-minute walk to the beach, a couple blocks down A1A from Atlantic Blvd. Highly recommended!

“Vintage charm, extremly clean and comfortable, and a friendly staff”

Much as I'm tempted to give Ronny Dee's a terrible review, discouraging anybody else from staying there, so there's always a vacancy for me, I am more interested in the survival of this wonderful vintage motel, so I'll be honest: this place is a gem! Retro, to be sure, and maybe not freshly painted, but it's immaculately clean, with good comfortable beds, very nice bed linens, and the plushest, thickest towels and washcloths I've had in any hotel! Our unit had a full kitchen (stove, microwave, oven, refrig). Kitchen was tiny (only one person could stand in it) but there were full appliances (including an apartment size refrigerator) and one could easily prepare a full meal. The spacious grounds were freshly and beautifully landscaped, with brand new paver paths, a large grassy area with bbq pits, a good sized pool, and plenty of room for outdoor relaxation. And tho it's right on A1A, the outdoor area is all protected by a high fence, for privacy and quiet from passing traffic. Staff were very friendly (and I understand it's family-run). Our rate was very comparable, in season as it was. I inquired about their off-season rates, and it's a steal, April thru December! Neighborhood amenities are many and convenient. I will definitely be back!

“Pompano beach meets retro”

We totally enjoyed our overnight stay at Ronny Dee. Very retro 60's style decor, simple but clean and comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Cross the street and you're on Pompano beach. Pool is excellent. Would recommend this little gem and hope to get back.

“Very nice place to visit...”

Went to this motel twice a year for family vacations as a kid - coming back 15 years later found it to be as good as I remembered. Ownership may have changed but new guys are friendly and helpful. There was another set of owners in between the ones I remembered and these guys, who from speaking to some regulars around the pool didn't have a good reputation; and if you haven't been back since them I'd recommend giving the place another try, as a lot of work has gone in bringing the place back up to 100%. Rooms clean, pool clean, other guests friendly (a mix of older regular guests and young families all co-existing) - for the price it's a great place to stay.
