“Great value and close to everything”

The hotel was recently updated and our room was completely new everything was as expected. If you ar planning on being in Miami or Fort Lauradale, this is the La Quinta you would want to stay in. A lot better than others in the area and is in a a good area. 20 minutes from downtown Miami.

“Clean, comfortable but not super close to airport”

We had a fine experience with this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Best part was that we got a ride to Port Everglades for free! Although it is listed as an airport hotel, the cab fare was $24 from the airport (we came in after midnight and the shuttle doesn't run after 11)... it's not super close to the airport!

“wonderful dog friendly hotel”

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was pleasantly nice, and very clean especially that it was dog friendly. I have stayed in other hotels, that had dog friendly rooms, and they were dreadful. I would recommend this hotel to others travelling with dogs.

“Been here many times before. Always great service and super room.”

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. I am from Florida and LaQuinta is always the hotel we choose when visiting. The shops located right in the same development make everything so convenient. The only thing I was disatisfied with was someone smoking next door and the front desk person made no effort to check on who was smoking in a non-smoking room. Not a huge deal but annoying. The breakfast was always fresh and the lady who took care of the breakfast was the sweetest person. The pool is fabulous and we were in it every day. Beautiful and well kept grounds. There was some construction or renovating- we were never inconvenienced by this in the least.

“Overnight Redeye”

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They were patient and answered all of my questions graciously, they even assisted me with suggestions for take out. The room was spotless and well presented. The pillow top bed was glorious, one of the best sleeps I have ever had in a hotel. The location to the airport was ideal as I was taking an early flight the next day back home.

“Great Hotel for a Great Price”

Hotel was really nice and clean. Beautiful landscaping by the lake. Quiet area perfect for relaxing. Great staff. Will stay there again. Pleasant experience overall. However, hotel is behind/at the back of the Oakwood Plaza, so if you don't mind walking to and from the shopping/entertainment area, perfect, otherwise rent a car.

“Great experience”

We found this hotel to be excellent -- friendly personnel at the front desk, clean, nicely appointed room, many ammenities. Our room had a view of the beachfront hotels (several miles away)and a lagoon located just behind the hotel. Complimentary pick-up service from the airport was provided, as was free shuttle service to the cruise piers. Free breakfast was more than adequate, although on a busy day (many ship departures) getting to one of the two waffle machine was a challenge.
