The hotel on the other side of the track!

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: See my experience comments.
Walked in lobby and immediately saw a dirty floor and dirty walls. Elevators were old and dirty as well. Mattresses were horrible!!!! Will never stay there again or refer someone to that LaQuinta Inn. Price was terribly overrated for this property.

Needs some improvements.

At check in, was told room wasn't ready and that I wou be called up when ready. This was even after having reservations and showing up after 3pm for check in. 3 other guests behind me were given keys to their rooms before I was called back up. Excuse given was it was busy. Saw roach in room and the pillows were mushy and old. Carpet wasn't very clean and the shower wasn't good either.

Staff were friendly. No bath towels in room had to call down for some. A round toilet seat fitted to an oval toilet was a bit bizarre. Overall the place is a bit dog-eared and grubby. It's cheap is the only real positive

Hotel in disrepair

Posted 2-Mar-2015
We arrived late at night and were given a room key. We opened the door to find out there was already someone sleeping in there and we woke them up. The only other room available was a smoking room and I am 5 months pregnant. There was a half inch gap around the door where you can see straight through to the hallway. The carpet was so sticky that not wearing shoes was a bad idea. The door knob was falling off the bathroom door. At $140 a night I had higher expectations. Never staying here again.

Visiting friends

Posted 1-Mar-2015
Pros: The front desk staff
Cons: The room had a strange odor but was clean.
Location: Close to good restaurants
The hotel staff was excellent and very friendly. The hotel is slightly run down but worth the cost of the room. The free breakfast was good. Chose the location to be close to friends we were visiting.

Cons: The breakfast could be improved, and the mold removed. The carpet could be cleaned.
The breakfast did not compare to other hotels. They only had muffins, bagels, toast, coffee. orange juice and you could make waffles. Very mediocre. The bathroom in our room had mold on the walls and ceiling. The carpet needed to be cleaned.

Only as a last resort

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Pros: Not really much. Sheets and towels were clean. It was relatively close to my working location.
Cons: Clean...no...replace the carpet and most of the furniture
If you're into camping you'll be able to endure the experience. Lots of well worn furniture, cigarette burn marks, etc.

poor experience

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: nearly everything
When we checked in we were informed that the only room left was a smoking room. Also when the front desk clerk ran my card he told me it was declined. Only after I gave him another card did he inform me that it had been declined, not by the credit company, but because he had the wrong amount for the room charge. The second card was run with the right amount. This was rather disconcerting. The room itself was dirty; the window coverings had burn holes. We tried to call the front desk to order an additional blanket and some towels, but the room phone was defective and the front desk could not hear us. I tried to call the front desk using my cell phone and the phone number on the face plate of the room phone, but that was a nonworking number. I later found a note from the hotel manager with the current phone number. The front desk clerk did come to the room after receiving several inside calls and unable to hear from our end. In response to our request for an additional blanket he informed us there were none and offered to bring several sheets. Based on this experience there is zero chance of our staying at this property again, and the likelihood of our staying at another La Quinta is significantly reduced from what it was before this stay.
