This hotel is two blocks from the beach and provides complimentary beach-buggy transportation to the beach. The hotel is also eight miles from Everglades Island Airboat Tours, and Port Everglades is within six miles.

“Lovely and serene”
These are suites which include a good size kitchen, a large bathroom and a living room adjoining the bedroom. Attractive and immaculate. View from my window of the canal. Chaises face the canal or surround the pool. I was there solo for one night and found this place to be wonderful. Note that there's no desk in the room for working but the kitchen table was fine. This would work for a vacation as well as for business - close enough to a main drag to be able to go out but off the main drag sufficiently so that it's quiet.

One night stay, very comfortable and great view. Was expecting a king bed, got 2 queens instead.
“GREATEST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER”
We knew nothing of the hotel when we made the reservation. It was without a doubt one of the finest experiences we've ever had. The ICW view room was fantastic-- clean, very tasteful decor, wonderful amenities. The dining was excellent!!!!!! Beautiful dining room, Great views, and absolutefully fantastic food. You have to try the FRESH (made at your table) Mozzarella with proscuitto and glazed figs!!!! The entre's were fabulous. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. We're going back.
“Nice place to stay but i would skip the restaurant”
Gret place to stay. My only complaint is that the restaurant was overpriced and the food wasnt that great. My wife and I ordered two of the most expensive things off the menu thinking it was going to knock our socks off but was greatly disappointed. In the end it was about $120 for the food and tip and I wish we could get it back. Besides the food the service was great, but to dont go out to eat just for the service.
“Our Family Vacation @ the Il Lugano”
Received a complimentary upgrade upon check in which was a wonderful surprise! The staff was great & the room was beautiful & big! We had a small issue with a leak in our room & when we told the staff, the issue was addressed immediately & the staff was very apologetic. Room service was always very fast & our order was always correct. If I had one less than positive thing to say about the hotel, it would be that the pool area is very bland looking and does not really get any sun. Otherwise, the hotel is an A+.
“Best Hotel experience ever”
We had a junior suite with intercostal view. It was fantastic. We had a wonderful view of the city from our balcony which was just off the bedroom area. The room was basically a studio apartment, furnished with plates and utinsils. Only negative I saw was the small outdoor pool. Parking in area free after 6pm until 8am. Hotel valet parking is expensive.
“Pleasing stay in Ft Lauderdale”
Clean, comfortable, spacious suite with great views of intracostal. Staff was very courteous and attentive. Great Wi-Fi Good location, but, many vacant local storefronts reflecting depressed local economy.
“Peaceful stay in ft lauderdale”
We liked the quiet location right on the waterway. The hotel was modern, sleek and well kept. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and we were very happy with the service and food. The hostess was very helpful in getting us into the restaurant at an earlier time than our reservation as it was very busy on a Saturday night.
“Absolute best!”
A very nice hotel, very clean, very friendly service, the room inlcuded everything anyone may need during a vacation, from TV with a few hundred chanels to a washer & dryer. I highly recommend it to anyone vacationing in Ft. Lauderdale.
“Nice place”
Very happy with the location, staff and overall appearance of the room. We were also pleasantly surprised at the size of our balcony and spectacular view of the intercostal. Would no doubt recommend staying here.
