“Wonderful resort and beautiful Yachts!”

We had a wonderful time at the Hilton Marina. The staff were especially friendly and very knowledgable. We initially had a room over looking the Marina and I asked to change it to Pool Side, with no problem at all. Ms. P. at the checkin was outstanding and extremely friendly. The grounds are georgeous and the yachts out of this world. It's best to get a poolside room, you can enjoy the music and watch the people. The carpeting does require updating but the rest of the hotel was super! We also befriended one of the chef's; Mr. C. He was incredible and provided us with alot of information. It was great to see the staff socializing with the patrons. You can catch the water taxi's just outside the hotel. I highly recommend it, plus they give you some information on the beautiful homes you pass by. All in all I would recommend and stay at this hotel again.

“Nice hotel, pick a water view in the tower”

Nice property with pool and view of the waterways. Close to the cruise pier - was only a $8.00 taxi ride and close to the airport was a $14-$18 taxi fare.

“Q-tips on the floor”

Expected more from a Hilton. Arrived and there were used Q-tips on the floor along with other garbage from previous guests. Stuff was still on the floor the next day after a supposed cleaning. Didn't use a vacuum at all. Prices at the hotel's breakfast and supper facilities were very high. Ordered a taco plate for supper and got some chips on a plate with a little bit of sour cream and salsa. Just not happy about the condition of the room or the price.

“paid extra for a ocean view twice did not receive either times”

They need to do a better cleaning of the room bugs in the room. dropped something on the floor and under neath the dresser had not be cleaned in a very long time. When we told the front desk they didn't seem to care. Food very over priced for what it was a sandwich and a salad cost $45.00. There is no shuttle to and from the airport or to any of the cruise ports. Wifi not free

“Port Everglades - Cruise Line Port”

We chose this hotel based on the convenience and location to the cruise port, in addition, to the quality typically found at Hilton properties. For a high nightly rate the quality of the room was poor. This property definitely needs to be refreshed. The carpet in the hallways and rooms are in need of replacement as well as some fresh paint on the walls. The on site food offerings are very high priced for what is offered and available. Be prepared to pay $15 for a burger that offers less quality and size then a McDonald's 1/4lb burger. I paid $8 for a small basket of stale tortilla chips. I would of never guessed this was a Hilton property. Very sad and disappointed.

“Expected More”

The room had a beautiful view from the balcony. The room was small and you felt it. It had the smallest closet I ever saw in a hotel. When I hung up my dress it was dragging the floor. If you are over 5'5" go to another hotel. I was surprised that there was no free WIFI in the rooms only in the lobby. I was also suprised that there were no coffee shops.

Area recommendations

Ft Lauderdale has lots of shops, restaurants, and night life. The beach is beautiful and the scenery is wonderful.

When to go

If you are from the north, December and January are a great time to go. Its not crowded with to many tourist but enough for a great time

Getting there

We rented a car from the airport and used the Hiltons "Self-Park" option $21. per day. We can go in and out as often as we liked and are not obligated to tip each time.

“Ft Lauderdales best pre cruise hotel”

The hotel was clean. Staff very friendly. Up at dawn watching our cruise ships arrive in port. Amazing room in the tower with balcony overlooking the port. Not only will I recommend this hotel to friends. I already have to many of the passenger on our cruise.

I would recommend this area to anyone cruising out of the Ft Lauderdale port.

“Good! But expensive parking fees...”

I have never been in a hotel that charge you for parking during your stay, unless you use a valet parking; and I have traveled enough to say that. It was an expensive rate and an unpleasant surprise. Everey thing else was very good.
