Property Amenities
Enjoy swaying palms and ocean breezes at one of the few full service resort hotels in Greater Fort Lauderdale that is directly on 300 feet of pristine, private sandy beach along the Atlantic Ocean. The resort has 2 pools and spacious pool areas surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. Poolside chaise lounges are free of charge. Our pool shop provides free towel service; sells sun care products, and beach sporting goods. Beach chair, cabana rentals and massage services are offered on the beach (for additional fee). There’s a poolside Tiki bar with poolside patio dining (and beach service). The Ocean Grill Restaurant offers full service indoor air conditioned dining with floor to ceiling picture windows with views of the pool and ocean. Room service is also available. All Food and Beverage outlets offer a Children's Menu. The Ocean Grill Lounge is open in the evenings during high season and features piano bar style entertainment on weekends.
Escape to our tropical paradise for a romantic getaway or family vacation. The Beachcomber Resort and Villas features a variety of room configurations such as Ocean Front, Ocean View, or the value priced European room type. Our Ocean Front and Ocean View rooms have spacious balconies furnished with 2 padded chaise lounges.
The property also has 2 meeting rooms that can accommodate small to medium sized business meetings or functions. An ideal venue for memorable beach weddings and special events, the Beachcomber Resort and Villas also has large outdoor courtyard areas that can be tented, set up and catered (for additional fees) for special events for up to 200 guests.
Resort guests are provided one complimentary parking space per room, have free WiFi access, and free guest passes (issued on request) to a fully equipped fitness club located a short drive away.
The resort does not charge a “resort fee” for the use of the facilities however, please note that there is an additional charge for beach chairs and cabana rentals.

Rooms
All rooms feature remote control color television with premium cable channels, clock radio, telephone with voice mail, free wireless internet access, coffeemaker with complimentary coffee provided, wall mounted bathroom hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and in room safe.
With the exception of the European rooms, all other rooms are equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. Additional refrigerator or microwave rental fee applies if delivery for installation in the European room.
The Beachcomber Resort is comprised of 3 distinct sections; the main 9 story hotel tower with interior corridors, two-two story exterior corridor buildings that surround our second pool area, and in the Villa section where our 1 and 2 bedroom Villas are located.

Dining
Cooked-to-order breakfast served at the Ocean Grill Restaurant - Available daily (surcharge). Enjoy a wide selection of full American breakfast offerings that include eggs, omelets, bacon, ham, sausage, pancakes, and waffles as well as breakfast wraps, steak & eggs, and the resort's signature Eggs Benedict along with freshly brewed coffee and Florida orange juice. Children's Menu also available.
Ocean Grill Restaurant - Overlooking the main outdoor pool area, gardens, and fountain with floor to ceiling picture windows, this casual restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Indoor and outdoor patio dining available.
Ocean Grill Lounge - Our cocktail lounge located off the hotel lobby and adjacent to the restaurant. Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Piano Bar style entertainment from Thursday to Saturday evenings, seasonally from December to mid May. Open December thru mid May.
Tiki Bar - Poolside patio bar serving a selection of tropical frozen drinks, cocktails, cold beers and soft drinks. Enjoy appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, and hand tossed pizza served at our poolside patio area or on the beach.
Room Service is available beginning at 7 AM daily for breakfast; an all-day dining, and pizza.
Recreation
The resort offers direct access to the beach, 2 pool areas, 2 shuffleboard courts and beach volleyball. Beach chair, cabana rentals, and massage services available on the beach for an additional fee. Note: During cold weather season, only the main pool is heated.
Free use of a nearby, fully equipped fitness club; guest passes are offered to registered resort guests on request.
18 hole public Golf Course & Driving Range, Tennis courts, Boat launch ramp, Boat rentals, Fishing and Dive charters are all nearby. Outdoor Amphitheater, Executive Airport, Soccer and Softball fields, Childrens' Playgrounds, and the Goodyear blimp air station are 4 miles from the resort.

“the hotel is very good”

“Perfect for a beach vacation”
Our room was 10 steps from the beach, with a view of both the beach and one of the pools. The room had 2 double beds, a comfy chair with ottoman, a full kitchen (but no oven or utensils/plates provided), a walk-in closet with dresser, and a bathroom. The decor was very nice. We were very happy with it. The front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the hotel didn't seem to have room service (other than breakfast) and the lounge/bar closed kind of early (11 p.m.). But overall, a terrific place for a beach getaway.
“This is the place to go!”
This was a great find! Tucked in between dull condo complexes lining Rt A1A along the beach, but what a surprise as you pull into the entrance. The grounds look like you have landed smack dab in the middle of paradise ~ lush palms and foliage everywhere, tiki huts, poolside bar, outside showers, completely tiled pool deck and walkways, and the best ~ walk off the pool deck and step right onto the beach. No stairs, long walkway, or hauling your stuff. The beach is ample, clean, no seaweed, and water so clear you can wade in up to your shoulders and still look down and see your toes. Very friendly "cabana boys" and a great bartender made it so easy to completely unwind. Best part ~ it's a small resort, family oriented, not at all wild, loud or filled to the brim with wall to wall people. Nights were quiet, just the sound of waves. Room was large and comfortable. Great balcony (with rattan chaise lounges) overlooking pool and beach. The beds were very comfortable, each one had 6-7 pillows and neck rolls to prop up when watching TV/reading. Ceramic tile bathroom with tub/shower. Also had a kitchenette. The ONLY problem we had was housekeeping people are REALLY slow. Room was never cleaned before 3-4 PM. TIP: Call the front desk (not housekeeping) in morning before you leave the room and tell them you want your room cleaned right away. That seemed to work.

nice meat and potatoes kind of hotel, nothing fancy just quality service great location on the beach free parking (rare in south beach area) quiet location but a short drive to attractions. we will be going back.
“Can't wait to go back!”
This hotel was very nice. It helped that the room we had was on the first floor corner, and our patio was on the beach. The hotel pool was right outside our front door. The restaurant food was great. However, had to rent vehicle after first day to properly get around. If you are going for rest, relaxation, beach...the hotel has everything you need.
“Really A Great Place to Stay For ALL!”
This was our first trip to Ft Lauderdale and we were so glad we stayed at the Beachcomber Hotel. The room was exceptional and the staff was so friendly. Rest assured that this hotel has what you need and expect for that beach vacation, whether it's a famiy trip or a romantic getway. It's many views of the well maintain grounds and views of the Atlantic, it is truly breath taking. It is definitely a hotel, I recommend to all my family and friends and I hope to go again.
“Everything we hoped for and more”
I admit we were a little concerned about all the reviews we had read, but were determined we were going to try it. Right from the start, we were hooked, our room,the ocean view, the beach access, the staff, the dining room, all fantastic. We did the room upgrade for the view and each morning we were welcomed by the most beautiful sunrises.Our private balcony overlooking the ocean was awesome. Very nice furnishings in the room. Had breakfast each morning in the dining room, went to the beach each day with plenty of towels. The pool was perfectly heated, as we did try that one evening. If you want quiet and private...Can't wait to go back.The best most relaxing vacation we have ever had.
“Sun & Sand”
Resort was great! Nice and Clean!! Location couldnt be better! There was no need to rent a cabana or a chair on the beach! Pool was warm which was good cause air was cool! Nice place to relax. Ft. Laurderdale was real close along with some stores to shop. Plenty to do! One problem was that we didnt have hot water in our first room. Had to wait 10 min to get it hot...not use to that! Otherwise it was a fun get away from the white stuff in the northeast.

“Great for price”
This hotel is dead on a 3 star. Not overly luxurious, but not a dump either. We were on a scuba-diving vacation. Great location, resturants, dive shops, everything you need was very close. Rooms were clean and nice. Staff courtious and nice. Plenty of parking. It is in a quiet, nice area, but nightlife is less than 10 minute drive. Only thing I would suggest is a room with a balcony. We upgraded to one because other room without balcony, you could not even open windows.
