“Great Birthday Get-Away For My Boyfriend:)”
The location of the hotel was great! The ocean view from our room was amazing. Everything within the room itself was clean, comfortable, and very accessible. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We had the best fun and relaxing days there. I will definitely return and recommend this hotel to family, friends, and others. My overall advice: ENJOY!!!
“GOOD VALUE/LOCATION”
The staff was attentive and helpful. Pool was nice, the breakfast was gross. The rooms looked like a room that you paid very little for, that is On the Beach of Ft. Lauderdale. Great Value... Luxury.. not so much. This property is right next to The Bonnet House.
“perfectly good for the money beachfront exactly”
Hotel Review: hotel was as expected, it is basically a 2.5-star florida beachfront hotel...price is right, I was very fortunate to get the ocean front room with view tht is used in the advertising, good mattress, tv worked, kitchen area excellent, room clean, didnt see a single bug...If you know and understand florida motels hotels, this was a great deal, location, convenience, free internet in lobby, basic coffee and bun for breakfast...at this price, nothing to complain about at all. Also was a big rainstorm and no leaks in room!! I will stay here again
“PERFECT FOR SPRING BREAK / BACHELOR PARTIES”
A perfect bachelor party / spring break hotel. This hotel, is about as dingy as they come, which is exactly what our group of 14 guys was looking for when we ascended upon Ft. Lauderdale Beach for a weekend bachelor party raging drunk-fest. The hotel was old and run down, which was perfect for us because when we trashed the rooms, it did not matter. HOTEL STAFF: The hotel staff was actually really awesome. They were all really nice, considering the fact that we had so many dudes jammed into three rooms. PARKING: parking passes are given out one per room. Be aware of this. However, we "left" a $20 tip to the desk attendant, and he "accidentally" issued our room two parking passes. LOCATION: Location is top notch. Close to everything. CLEAN BEDS: Our beds were clean. The mattresses are awful, (not supportive/can feel all the springs) but there were no bed bugs. In fact all the mattresses were wrapped in plastic, which was nice given the heavy consumption of alcohol that was occurring which inevitably leads to bed wetting. PARTYING: Obviously a staple at this hotel. SUMMARY: This is one of those hotels that is perfect for creating memories. We will all look back on this weekend and think "Hey guys, remember how dingy that hotel on the beach was?" which will surely be followed by "Yeah it was gross, but we had an awesome time anyway, when can we go back?"
“Urban rustic, but great location”
The hotel was definitely older and a little worn, but the location was great. Don't expect a high level of service, but you have what you need. There's so much to see and do that is within walking distance that you shouldn't spend all day in the hotel anyway!
“OK, but not impressive.”
The continental breakfast was inadequate. Coffee was so so and no butter was provided for english muffins. Capt Hirams Inn (Sebastion, Fl.) had a much better breakfast and also LaQuinta Inn in Orlando, Fl..
“Fantastic location at an affordable price.”
Great location on the beach and close to the action. Every room is different, some nicer than others, but all were clean. Comparable to a Motel6.
“Great Location”
The hotel was in a great location. Many restaurants, bars and shopping were within walking distance of the hotel. It is right across the street from the beach. We had an ocean view from the balcony of our room. I read other reviews that said the hotel was terrible. It wasn't the best place I have stayed, but the location and price can't be beat. I did not see any insects and the sheets and bedding were clean. There are no blow dryers or coffee makers in the room and the room phone did not work. I also had a ring stolen from my room, but I did leave it out and that could happen at any hotel(I know better than to leave jewelry in a hotel room-I blame myself). The hotel is old so if you are looking for luxury this place isnt it. I would return for another stay due to price and location.
“I'm Going There Again Next Year”
This small quaint hotel is right on the beach. It is extremely reasonably priced. There was no coffeemaker in the room as stated. No problem, I bought one. There was no clock in the room. No problem, I had a watch. The TV only got 1 channel, and it was News. No problem, I didn't escape the frozen north in the winter time to watch TV. There was no bath tub, which I had looked forward to. I had an open handicapped shower, which made quite a mess and used 2 towels to wipe up. No problem, I was staying solo. My room only got mopped and trash removed every other day. No problem, I made my own bed anyway and don't make that much trash by myself. The bedding was new and the room was immaculately clean. The microwave and refrigerator were clean and ice was almost ready in the freezer upon my arrival. There was a live plant in the room and I was only 12 feet away from the pool. The location is right on The Strip and the ocean is across the street. I was very comfortable there. Fussy people with a lot of money to spend should stay at a fancier place with a fancy price. Next year, I will request a NON handicapped access room, preferably also on the first floor.
“Good stay for the $”
Hotel staff very courtious and helpful but this is an older hotel needing repairs. But it is clean and on the Beach or acroo from it.
