This 40-acre Florida resort and yachting center complex is set off the main road, in the center of Fort Lauderdale's beach, shopping, nightclub, and restaurant district. The ocean waterfront is across the street and the beach is accessible via a private walkway. Built in 1975, the family-friendly hotel comprises a four-story marina building and a 16-story tower connected by a covered walkway.
The Bahia Mar's lobby offers a jewelry store and a resort shop that sells signature items and other resort-friendly goods. Dining options include an ocean-view restaurant, a poolside bar, and a deli. In-room dining is also available.
Other resort amenities include fitness facilities, bicycle rentals, water taxi service, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the property. The resorts own 250-slip marina offers 3,000 feet of parallel dockage and over 4 miles of floating docks with fueling. A marina store and dive shop are also on site while a cruise ship terminal is nearby.

Located in the four-story marina building and 16-story tower, the 296 guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the ocean, yacht-filled marina, or tropical gardens and courtyard. Most rooms in the marina building, and all in the tower, include balconies.
All rooms come with complimentary wireless Internet access, multi-line cordless phones with voicemail, in-room safes, mini refrigerators, microwaves, and flat-screen LCD TVs with pay movies and video games (surcharge).

Bahia Mar Ft. Lauderdale Beach- a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel offers a heated outdoor pool, four lighted tennis courts, a gymnasium, an extensive fitness center, and Ping-Pong and pool tables. A private walkway leads to the beach across the street.
Hotel staff can arrange a variety of onsite water sports, including sailing, boating, snorkeling, fishing, and water skiing; scuba tours and lessons; rentals of personal watercraft.

“Ft. Lauderdale stay”

“Awesome stay-will be back!”
I had read the reviews about the hotel not being up to par before we booked but for us it was awesome! The All About Food mart had really good food and really reasonably priced. Easy access to the beach by going across the walk bridge. The front staff was very helpful and nice when we checked in/out. We loved the warm chocolate chip cookies when we checked in also!! It was really close to the port for us to be able to leave on our cruise the next day.We had 2 problems with our room-the phone and the toilet didn't work but they had them both fixed within 10-15 minutes from the call, which we thought was reasonable since things happen and they responded immediately. We plan on using this hotel again when we come back down whether it be for a cruise or a weeks stay.

For the price, the Bia Mar is a very nice place! Beautiful, spacious rooms, with comfortable, roomy beds, clean, well-lighted, with friendly and professional staff. The pool and gym set up could not be more convenient. It's close enough to main strip along the beach where the shops and restaurants are, but also just far enough away from it to enjoy a nice short walk to and from. The Hall of Fame pool is just up the road about a quarter of a mile, for more serious swimmers. Our room had a great partial view of the ocean and a full view of the boat marina and swimming pool area! There's a convenient grocery store across the street and a reasonably priced gift shop with some sale items. As long as they are willing to stay reasonably priced, I am a loyal fan!
“what a wonderful stay!”
we will going back!!!!! It was very nice, but we only had one night to stay. Even in that one night, we got such a great impression on the hotel. It was in a great location and offered many wonderful things. I enjoyed getting a cookie at the check-in desk. It was nice and warm.

My experience was wonderfull - Hotel very well kept services over all was execellent view was perfect. I will visit again.
“Frequent travellers”
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights after taking a cruise, it is the perfect location for a pre cruise stay as it is very near the cruise terminal and the hotel does a package with a free shuttle to the terminal. There is a small food shop at the hotel which does wonderful hot food and drinks, salads, fruit and sandwiches all at very reasonable prices which you can get free room service or collect. There is also a restaurant within the hotel which is also very good.
“Excellent Stay”
Lovely hotel and location was great! Walking distance to dozens of restaurants, shops, bars. Great! The beach is easily accessible with the hotel's walkway. The hotel's pool was great with a nice bar area and they provided poolside towels and comfortable lounge chairs that even had pillows! We had a great stay ! The restaurant in the main lobby makes a lovely cappuccino in the morning for only $5. The concierge, Ellen, was especially helpful when it came to booking tours. All the front desk staff were helpful and polite. I will definitely stay there again!

Enjoyed my stay at the Bahia Mar Hotel. The room was clean, the location is great. The pool and gym area are very nice. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Overall, an excellent stay.

“Bahia Mar”
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights. Our stay and flights to Florida from Chicago were 800 each, total. We had a very nice time. The hotel room was clean and spacious. The staff was nice and incredibly helpful. We loved the pool and the 7 dollar a day bike rentals and the proximity to the beach/water taxi/ water attractions is unbeatable. We took the water taxi (located next to the hotel) to Hollywood one day and it was a great time. We also walked to Las Olas shops in downtown from out hotel twice. It really was a great location. The one thing I would say is that the drinks at the pool bar are way over priced.
