Perfect location

Posted 12-May-2015
Clean hotel, perfect location, close to stores and restaurants. However the bedding was not comfortable. The sheets needed more fabric softener they were stiff and not comfortable. And the pillows were very flat.

Right in the heart of Key West

Posted 30-Apr-2015
Pros: Clean, quiet, and quite classy in a retro way.
Cons: Can't think of much that could be improved.
Location: Plenty! This is Key West - party town. At the foot of Duval Street and everything starts and finishes here.
Hotel experience very satisfiying. Smooth checkin and room clean and spacious. If you are looking for a hotel close to everything that is Key West then this is the place. Slightly more expensive than others nearby but worth it. Parking right beside hotel.

Vacation

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, walking distance to all activities.
Cons: Room PTAC unit needs to have filters cleaned this would decrease noise.
The Westin location is excellent. The a/c in the room was noisy, bed linens uncomfortable. Pool was nice. There is an additional $25.00 per day charge for internet wifi and pool towels. Staff was polite.

Nice Hotel, not worth the $

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, parking,
Cons: New air conditioner--our other hotel had a state of the art unit that was very quiet.
Location: Beatiful waterfront, close to museums (Audubon House, E. Hemingway House, Mel Fisher Museum, and shopping)
We had a very nice room that was supposed to have a "partial" ocean view--the view was next to not--you had to go out on the terrace and look to the left-- to expensive for what we got--nothing out of the ordinary. The air conditioner made a terrible noise and made it almost impossible to sleep! Other than that it was a beautiful location and close to the ocean and other amenities.

Exceeded our expectations

Posted 25-Apr-2015
Pros: Pool, restaurants, location, room/bed
Location: Mallory Square is right nearby…sunset celebration with street performers and artisans. Walk to Duval St., Hemingway House, and Southernmost Point
I am an elementary school teacher and my husband and I recently spent 5 days here during my school vacation. Everyone was friendly and the service at the pool and restaurants was great! The location is perfect, right next to Mallory Square and walking distance to all the hot spots. The nightly sunset celebration can be enjoyed from the Sunset Deck. We had drinks at the pool and lunch a few of the afternoons at the Bistro, very good food and extensive drink menu. Our room was large, clean, and we enjoyed the balcony and rocking chairs. The little touches, such as fruit kabobs served at the pool and starbucks coffee in the room made it that much more enjoyable. The pool area is perfect, enough room for everyone but not too crowded or noisy…extremely relaxing. We will definitely return.

Nice hotel, but front desk needs improvement

Posted 20-Apr-2015
Everything is wonderful except check in, we were waiting at front desk for 30mins, and nobody was there. We try to knock office door, but no buddy answer. After the long wait, somebody showed up with sleepy eye, and can't even answer your common questions.

Ocean view NOT

Posted 15-Apr-2015
We paid the upgrade for an ocean view room. That view consisted of event tents or cruise ships every day of our stay. Strongly encourage people to not pay the extra.

Great Hotel Near The Action

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Cons: There is limited staff watching the pool area and people have a tendency to put items on the lounge chairs and disappear for long periods of time.
Location: Custom House, Mel Fisher Museum, Little White House, Mallory Square, Aquarium, and Duval Street are nearby. Hemingway House is approx. 8 blocks away.
From the time we checked in, until the time we checked out, the staff at the Westin made our stay most enjoyable. The Concierge, Christina, is very knowledgeable about the area and places to eat and see, and we were not disappointed with her suggestions. The room that we had was clean and comfortable and overlooked the pool. The resort, even though we were there during spring break, was very quiet and relaxing. Should we ever go back to Key West, this is where I'm staying.

We stayed 7 days. Ocean front room near Mallory Square was nice with the exception of the cruiseships that come into port almost daily. Most importantly they were gone by sunset always leaving a lovely view.
