Nice hotel at the marina

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: The room accommodations are very nice.
Cons: We were charged a mandatory resort fee upon check-in, which was not clearly disclosed when we were shopping for a hotel. Also, parking is overpriced.
The Westin is a full-service hotel conveniently located at the Key West marina, within walking distance of most restaurants and tourist attractions.

Key West Weekend Get-a-Way

Posted 29-Sep-2014
Pros: The location was perfect for watching the sunset from our room's balcony.
Cons: Nothing.
The hotel has the perfect location, which is within walking distance to Mallory Square and also Duval Street. Plenty of things to do if you like watersports, just want to walk to different shops, eat at different restaurants / bars, etc...

Cons: Need free parking.
Location: Its Key West baby.
Everything was great. Just didn't like that you had to pay for parking. That should be included in your stay. We paid $20 a night.

Good location, however...

Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Great location : perfect for the Sunset celebrations and shopping. The pool facilities are too small.... It was crowded, people talked loudly.... not easy to relax. The cleaniness of the room can be improved. Don't know when was the last time it had been hoovered under the bed ! No private beach.

Great place bad srevice

Posted 20-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
Its a shame that the service soured our stay. We wanted to stay an extra night and after speak with the "front desk supervisor" everything seemed to be ok and he was even going to give us the same room rate that we had booked through hotel.com. I mentioned that i did not know the extact rate but would find out, no problem just let me know and we will sort everything out for you he said. We took this to mean that the room was ok and that we had our extra night, after a couple of hours I went back to him and gave him the rate, it was quite a good rate ( for us, but not them) now he tells me that the hotel is full and no rooms available execpt a 600 dollar cottage on sunset key. We had a couple of other disappointing issue but overall it seems once they know you booked through Hotel.com or any othe low cost webside the service goes out of the window. We WILL not be returning.
