“Best motel in Key West!”
This was our second time at this motel. Having the best beach of the island right across the street and on the ocean side is probably the greatest asset!! Also being a little away from the crowds on Duval Street helps. Having plenty of towels & beach towels is nice. Afternoon cookies & mint limeades are nice too. Renting scooters for 18+ year olds gives them more options around the island. Best local cuban food is El Siboney Restaurant on Catherine & Margaret Street.
“Great Family Friendly Hotel”
We live in South Florida so this was just a one-night Saturday stay with my parents, husband, and 20-month old toddler. The room was clean and as for layout there was a separate bedroom, large walk-through bathroom, kitchen/dining area and living room. The 'door' separating the BR from the LR wasn't a solid door, though, just a sliding slatted panel door so if you're looking to gain some 'privacy' with separate rooms this won't cut it. As for sleeping, my husband and I slept on the L-sofa which was comfortable and long enough. We didn't even take out the pull-out sofa bed, and I'm 5'1" and my husband is 6'2" (you curl your legs a little). The room had extra pillows and a comforter in the closet, but not extra sheets so request that from guest services if you feel you need it. We brought our own pack-n-play for our toddler, but most hotels provide them as well - just ask. There was a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. And, there was no tub, just a shower, so our toddler showered with daddy - the floor was a little slippery since it was marble, but he did well. You have to sign up downstairs to take the free shuttle into town. But, we ended up driving ourselves to downtown, and even during January (busy time) it was easy to find parking and it was a short drive. Worked out better, too, cause my mom's arthritis keeps her from walking a lot and we ended up driving a little bit rather than walking to see the sights.
“Honeymoon in paradise !”
It was great! It was our honeymoon and my wife birthday week. We had a great time.
“Good Choice”
Hotel is just across the street from Smathers Beach; has regular shuttle service to Mallory Square area. All service personnel were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Suites are large and comfortable. We did note stains on sofa and a door that needed a paint touch-up on checkout and the manager said it would be taken care of immediately.
“An excellent hotel in Key West! Going back!”
Great service, beautiful rooms which are very spacious and great for kids, nice and clean pool, would recommend highly and I will be returning! Only thing is you have to have a car or rent an electric car/golf cart/scooter to get to the restaurants, night life, tourist attractions, and shopping. The beach is right across the street and clean.
“Good choice for Key West.”
Located away from bustle of Duval but across street from excellent beach. Hotel is spotless, grounds well maintained, shuttle service excellent. I'd return if ever I return to Key West. A bargain, given suite space, first-rate cleanliness and good service.
“Great hotel in overrated Key West”
The Sheraton Suites Key West is a really nice hotel with well appointed suites! We were the first to stay in one of the newly renovated garden suites. The suite was perfect! The bed was sooooooo comfortable! The bathroom was large and stylish! We would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The front desk staff was more than helpful! We rented a car, so we have no comment on the shuttle service. Parking in Old Town can be expensive. The hotel is directly across from Smathers Beach. But, the hotel really doesn't have any Ocean Front rooms, since it is across the street. At night, the garden/courtyards can be a little noisy as people come back to the hotel. Overall, very satisfied with the hotel and service received!
“great hotel”
Hotel was a bit far from places to eat other than the hotel, there is a shuttle that takes people back and forth every hour though. The pool area was well kept and had the best swimming. The beach area was smelly and rocky. The beds and pillows are great.
“wonderful stay”
This hotel was everything I expected. It sits across the road from Smathers beach. Plus there was a shuttle into town or the airport (to far to walk into town). The rooms were huge and updated. We had a king on the oceanside and my sons had 2 doubles poolside. If you want the shuttle you do need to book it asap or their may not be room-cabs into town were not cheap for 4 people. The conciege was great at helping us plan trips and the food at the hotel was yummy but there are so many great places to eat in Key West that its hard to pick. Would go back again.
“Sheraton of Key West is the Best”
The staff was so sweet and helpful. They helped with everything that I needed and it was only a $4 cab ride away from Duvall or you could book a free shuttle through the front desk. They were fantastic and the pool area was beautiful!
