“Beautiful resort”
Beautiful resort, pool and hot tub were great, daily continental breakfast at poolside, hotel was quiet and beautifully landscaped/maintained.
“Wonderful!”
I almost didn’t book due so many complaints on the quality of rooms and service. All I can say they must have never stayed in the Keys which is very different than the grand hotels located in the upper states. This place is wonderful in every way! The view from 202 can’t be beat at any price. Park your boat right outside your room and you are ready to have the best vacation of your life.
“ask question.”
It’s a great estate resort, but when we book it the photos looks deferent then the real things we book the 3br house the locations in great, the pool its new, but the house is old style the early 70th the minute we got in we get a bed flash of old place. I don’t know how the 2br or the 1br, its belter to ask when renovated. If I go back certainly ask more question. (ill will go back)
“Resort Fee is a rip off.”
The hotel is very clean and the grounds are beautifully lI was not told that I would have to pay a daily resort fee until I checked out. While checking out I was told that I owed 36 dollars for resort fees. I asked what it for and was told that customers were allowed to use fishing equiment, kayaks and bicycles. no one told me I could use the things or that I was paying for them until i checked out.andscaped. The pool and beach areas are incredible. The room was clean and much larger than I expected. The only problem I have is with the exta fees and lack of information recieved at check in.
“Blairing Music”
Liked the facility, but front desk clerk clearly overwhelmed and understaffed.Poolside rock music at 7:45 on a Sunday morning a real turnoff..and by the beachside as well.Peace and quiet not an option here.
“Loved the room BUT !!!”
We loved the room and amenties the location was great. But we had no hot water during our entire stay and was told just " just let the water run it will get hot" .Well it never did. Also we were told that kayaks and fishing poles were included but once we checked in we found that you had to rent the kayaks .
“If your ok with un-updated beach style”
The hotel and the staff were ok. The marina and pool were fun but the rooms were pretty shabby. Time to replace the carpet in the rooms. Rain came in through the bottom of the door , Just worn out old beach rooms. Hey it was fun with the kids but if your looking for anything close to a modern clean room find anothe hotel. Me and the boys ar e ok with it (like a camping trip) cause were fishing and don't need luxuries. We'll be back for a second round.
“Remodeled Room for sure”
Not a bad place to stay, but would request a remodeled room. The older room or cottage is ok but does need work. They checked us into an older room and the sliding doors flooded with the storm, so they moved us to the better cottage and it was by far the place to be.
“Misleading to say the least”
We recently stayed at the La Siesta Resort and Marina. It wasn’t that bad of a place, the disappointment was that I paid resort money for a 3 star hotel. First and Foremost this place IS NOT a resort. I am not sure why they are calling it that. There aren’t any resort amenities at this place. Second, there IS NOT a beach on the property. Third, I am not sure where the pictures they used came from, but this is not the same place. I never saw the infinity pool that they show in the pictures. I will say that the pictures of the rooms where the same as we found them. However, there isn’t an elevator so you have to hike it up the stair with your luggage. Which wasn’t an issue for me, but for those who are older, disabled or who have small kids this could be an issue. Also I didn’t appreciate the extra “Resort Fee” that I was charged extra at the end of my stay, for a place that is clearly not a resort. The location was great, very close to all the attractions. The rooms had nice new appliances and were well decorated. The cleaning staff was nice and accommodating. Overall, it was an nice place to stay, but it just wasn’t as advertised.
“Good location, good size unit, some dirty furnitur”
Living rooms were very large. Couch were smelly but carpet was clean. Big kitchen with full size refrigirator and microwave was really useful. Bathroom was small and strangely located. Pool was good. View is excellent, very relaxing, romantic and amazing.
