“exploring the keys”

it was a welcome surprise. The room was clean, and the pool area kept neat at all times. The pool itself was large enough to do laps and warm enough so getting in wasn't a shock. We were also delighted with the beach area and the great sunrises in the morning. As well as the property itself the beach was groomed and raked each day. All in all .... a great place to stay. If I had anything negative to say it might be with the lateish music played at the Outback next door...but then not everyone goes to bed as early as I do. we'll have good memories. Lou and Dave

“Highly recommended”

We REALLY liked this hotel. The staff were really friendly and accomodating. The room was very nice (separate bedroom, living room, small but well-equipped kitchen). Ours was probably the least preferable location, overlooking the parking lot, but we still had a very good view of the ocean and we didn't spend much time in the room. The gem of the place is the "back yard". A really nice pool, well kept, and surrounded with vegetation. There is a tiki bar that is part of an Outback Steak chain, but very quaint and with great staff. The beach is really nice. It's not a traditional beach because the sand ends at a wall which you take a few steps down to the water from, but that is really no inconvenience. It's a beautiful spot and made us all feel relaxed and happy for the days we were there. There is a free breakfast, which normally aren't great, and admittedly the eggs, weren't, but everything else was. Fresh fruit, good coffee, a make-your-own waffle station, cereal, orange juice, bagels, english muffins, etc. A great start to the day, and included with the room fee. There was a lot to do in the area, and we went on a slightly pricey but FANTASTIC 2 hour seadoo tour with A1A watersports that I won't forget for a long time. On the last day we were there my wife and daughter booked massages poolside for 11am (which is normally checkout time), but there was a very polite and accomodating response when we asked for a late checkout time.
