We stayed for 2 nights in one of the suite. We had a nice ocean front view. The room was brand new and nicely decorated and the staff was super! We will be back!

Islamorada Boutique hotel

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Pros: it was all newly renovated and clean
Cons: restore the shuffle board and enlarge the kids playground...more swings, climb rack etc.
Location: Paddle Boarding, Kayak, Eco Tours, shopping and hanging around the pool all day.
The hotel is newly renovated and should be completed by end of next year (new pool). There are still some rooms that need to be finished, but overall the hotel is in great shape. It is trendy, tropical and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food is incredible. The ingredients are fresh and the chef is very creative. They have a large assortment of beers and liquor. The best part is there is no carpet inside the rooms. All rooms are porcelain tiles….great for people whom suffer from allergies, and the rooms are all non-smoking. The hotel also has a shuttle bus that can drop you off at anywhere you want to go and pick you back up, whether for shopping or restaurant reservations.

Great resort value in Islamorada!

Posted 18-Jun-2015
Pros: Cleanliness, fresh remodel, outdoor lounge, friendly and helpful staff!
Location: Great location away from the hustle of Key West. Theatre of the Sea (4 miles away) offers nice dolphin swims and animal shows.
Highly recommended. Hotel is just completing a complete renovation - 1st floor rooms were being upgraded while we were there (on the third floor). This resulted in a bit of dust in the stairwells and some loss of parking on one side of the building (due to construction storage lockers and equipment), but the common areas of the hotel have been beautifully remodeled and were clean, open and airy, and the room that we stayed in was freshly remodeled, clean and airy. We experience no noise from the work being done of the first floor. In addition, the hotel informed us at check-in that the daily resort fee was waived for our stay due to the construction activity- a nice surprise for us! The hotel includes a nice gift shop, interior dining and lounge options, an outdoor pool, outside bar and dining area and a sandy waterfront play area/sun area. There is also a water sports rental place on site for boats, kayaks, jet skis, snorkel and scuba rental and eco-tours. Very nice place for families or couples.

Nice place!

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Cons: Tiki Bar prices WOW!
Location: Close to plenty of things to see and do and Shuttle service to drive you.
Hotel is in remodeling phase but still very nice. Friendly staff and rooms are comfortable.Nice oceanfront area to relax. Tiki Bar was only drawback: Staff was rude and drinks were outrageously priced. If you plan to drink here you might want to take out a second mortgage.

Great stop on the way

Posted 14-Jun-2015
Pros: Beautifully renovated and right on the water. Pool and beach area are small but nice.
Cons: Room was very quiet except when the kids next door were on their deck. And, oddly, the coffee maker was hard to figure out ...
We booked a night at Amara Cay as the last night of our Honeymoon in the Keys, not wanting to make the drive from Key West to Miami all on the morning of our flight. It turned out to be a wonderful choice. The rooms are simple but very nice and the bed was very comfortable.
