Kitchenettes offer refrigerators, microwaves, cookware/dishes/utensils, and kitchen linens (dishtowels, sponges, etc). “Magnifico”
Residence La Contessina was in a wonderful location no more than 2 blocks from the largest market in Florence and the bus/train station at Santa Maria Novella. The rooms (my family of 6 adults with 3 rooms) were very, very spacious compared to other trips to Europe. The balcony room my youngest son and his wife were assigned was very romantic. My oldlest son and his wife and the two of us had adjoining rooms with a large living room and kitchen included. All of old Florence was within walking distance of the hotel, even for someone like me who walks with a cane. There were several good trattorias and osterias close to the hotel. I recommend Osteria Antica Mercato on the Via Nazionale and Trattoria al Trebbio on Via Delle Bella Donne as two good reasonably priced choices.Any spaghetti dish and the bistecca florentine were superb. Don't sign up for the van service, we could have gotten 2 taxis cheaper from the airport for the 6 of us + luggage. The Tuscan Wine Trails day trip was unbelievable. Our family had a personal trip by van to a winery in a castle built in 1182 by the Pazzi family and we were able to select our own bottles of wine from the cellars of this winery and another plus we had wine tasting and a marvelous lunch in wonderful surroundings. There are so many sights to see in Florence that you wish you could stay for months. We will definitely be coming back.
“Excellente adresse”
Situation idéale pour visiter Florence à pied. Parking dans l'hôtel, très précieux à Florence. Personnel extrêmement serviable et agréable. Chambre impeccable, peut être pas au top du design mais peu importe, c'est très propre (!), petit déjeuner compris, à volonté, rien à dire.
“Convenience and quality”
La Contessina is an excellent place to stay. It is well run with very helpful staff. It is in a great location for walking anywhere. There are a number of excellent trattoria within easy walking (on Via Faenza), with ATMs, grocery and other services close at hand. My only issue is that the quality of the fold out bed mattress could be better. This hotel would be my first pick next time in Florence.
“Nice little suprise.”
This place is lovely. I wish I could have stayed for a week, one night was not enough. Nice and quiet but still in the middle of everything. The room big and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Easy walk from the train station (if you have a good map, unfortunately we didn’t but eventually found it). Close to walk to everything - shops, markets, restaurants, museums, doumo . Breakfast was great. Would definitely go back and highly recommend. Staff friendly and helpful but did not speak much English.

Hotel is nice , rooms are big and parking outside. Breakfast needs improvments , only pre-pack items . Computer and internet available in the room. I would recommend this hotel.
“Hôtel très agréable”
Situation parfaite, dans le centre de Florence, mais dans une rue calme. Nous avions réservé pour 3 personnes et la chambre était grande et confortable. Petit déjeuner convenable. Accueil chaleureux, personnel souriant et aimable.

Tout est bien:accueil,personnels,literie............un seul bémol ,l'insonorisation des chambres(bruit provenant du manque de savoir vivre de certains résidents Possibilité de parking sur place(en faire la demande)
“Best place to stay in Florence”
The "room" is actually a two level appartment. First level: restroom, living room, kitchenette. Second level: bedroom. Plenty of room. We had an extra bed in bedroom and a crib was already setup for our son. Easy walk thru historic center. Close to railroad station, which is important if you plan to continue your trip by train.

“A Residential Gem in Florence”
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Florence Santa Maria Novella train station, and also a pleasant walk to the Duomo. Lots of small stores and restaurants are nearby. You must take price into account for the accommodations, and that this is a "residence" not a luxury hotel. Given all that, the accommodations were quite nice--very clean, reasonably comfortable, extremely roomy. The only thing disappointing was the breakfast--yoghurt, cereal, cakes & cookies. The coffee machine made pretty terrible tasting cappuccinos and espressos--a rarity for Italy. You will need to pay to connect to the hotel's wifi internet access.
