“A Perfectly Situated Hotel”

We were delighted with every aspect of the hotel. Perfectly situated, the front door is some seven metres from the end of the Ponte Vecchio. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the staff courteous and efficient. Even in early January, the views over the city from the sixth-floor dining room were breathtaking.

“Very Pleasantly Surprised!”

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Florence. The location is fantastic. It's not as crazy as being in the city center, but completely accessible to everything. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee with the morning breakfast and the breakfast in general.

“Parfaitement situé !!!!!!”

Hotel à la sortie du Ponte Vecchio, donc très bien placé pour visiter Florence !!! Chambres peu spacieuses, mais propres et calmes. Bien insonorisées. Personnel accueillant. J'y retournerais ! Par contre, il faut etre chanceux pour se trouver un stationnement !

“Exactly what we wanted”

Magnificent location, great service, and very helpful staff - Hotel Pitti Palace is large enough to have a professional atmosphere yet small enough to feel warm and friendly. The room was comfortable though not huge, and tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been nice (at least the mini-bar was reasonably priced). Breakfast was good, though the view took our breath away, and on the last night we took the 'risk' of going to the hotel restaurant. This was a great decision! - although the choice was limited the food was wonderful and the rooftop experience at night was joyous! - don't miss the best cheesecake I've ever had! If we visit Florence again we won't bother looking elsewhere.

“Perfect location - nice amenities”

This hotel stay was wonderful. The location was perfect for Florence - great views from the room and easy walking to all the historical spots in the city. Excellent gelatto's right across from the hotel too. You are right on the river. There are many excellent and reasonable trattorias close by as well - the Golden View is very nice. The Pitta Palace and Boboli gardens are a short walk. The breakfast is excellent and saves money in the morning. The terrace has great views of the city. You can enjoy an afternoon drink and plan the night activities. The staff is friendly and efficient. English is spoken all around. We were there during the volcano crisis and they let us stay extra in our same room without problems. Our only negatives - the chairs in the room are a little worn and the shower/tub is narrow so you fight the curtain - small issues. We stayed there 8 nights due to the volcano delays and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

“A terrific little hotel”

This place is a jewel. The location - at the foot of the walkway to the Ponte Vecchio - can't be beat. We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel was very clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. We loved breakfast in the lovely breakfast bar which doubles as a cocktail lounge in the evenings. Weather permitting, there is a terrace which is just delightful - terrific views of the city. We hope to visit this hotel again and again!!

“A great find”

This was a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff - giving us directions, travel suggestions, ordering taxi etc. The position is unbeatable as it is an easy walk to all the main areas - about 3mins to the Uffizzi, 7mins to the Duomo, and 20mins to the railway station. Super breakfast room with wonderful views, a great way to start the day. Very flexible in that we could come and go as we pleased. Recommend a trip up the leaning tower at Pisa, and the dome of the Duomo for great views, [if you don't mind steps!] Made my 50th birthday celebrations most enjoyable.

“Highly recommend”

We loved this hotel. It is not only perfectly located but we had a nice view from our fourth floor room, it was quiet and the view from the terrace where we ate breakfast (included) was outstanding. Combine that with the reasonable cost and we would stay there again if we were to return. We would highly recommend this hotel to any of our family or friends traveling to Florence.

“Just the Right Place”

This excellent hotel is perfectly placed for a few days' sightseeing in Florence. A few yards from the foot of the Ponte Vecchio, south-bank Florence bustles all around it. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby - some try to rip you off, but most are determined to give you the best local produce as cheaply as they can. The hotel is everything that you need; the staff are friendly and professional and breakfast on the sixth-floor terrace with views over the city is the best possible start to the day.
