“Florence Hotel”

My reaction to this hotel is mixed. Being so near the train station, it was extremely convenient but also extremely -- horrendously -- noisy. The air conditioning was minimal and no control was allowed the guest. We would have liked to open the windows at night to cool things off, but motorcycles racing past all night long made that impossible. One good thing was that this hotel had a bathtub!!! -- the only hotel on our trip that offered this convenience. The breakfast was adequate but could have been improved by something hot (nothing other than coffee; hot chocolate is always appreciated by those who don't drink coffee) and fruit other than canned peaches. It was very annoying that the hotel would not accept a credit card for payment of the newly-instituted Florence tourist tax which we were not aware of until we got there.

Tres bon accueil, chambre conforme et spacieuse pour une famille de 4 persones, hôtel tres bien tenu et très propre, décoration simple. Situé proche du centre historique, les visites peuvent être effectuées à pied.

“Basic but good”

Good location, short walk to train station, close to restaurants. Was given a room on the 4th floor had to carry bags up stairs from 3rd floor. This room was large and very dated, had three beds and furniture all old style. Overall the hotel was good, breakfast very basic but would stay again
