“Great stay”
Very special place. Charming staff. Good breakfast. Best is unique opportunity to stay in a well- maintained palazzo.
“Very Pleasant Stay, no complaints”
We stayed in the Smeralda suite, it was peaceful and private. The front office staff was very helpful and friendly. Beautiful view from the terrace, coffee and tea always available.
“An Amazing Florentine Palace”
Just arrived back after a 3 night stay at this wonderful hotel. It truly is a palace - beautiful old building full of antique furniture, paintings and sculptures. Our room was enormous and had everything we needed and more. There's a lovely roof terrace with breathtaking views over the city and one of those old lifts you see in the films. The service was excellent as was the breakfast we enjoyed each morning. It's located just over the river and it takes only minutes to reach the centre. We would certainly recommend this hotel to all our friends and hope to return ourselves soon.
“Excellent”
We can't speak highly enough about out stay at this hotel. The service was excellent, the Carlotta suite was as good as you can. We loved the location in Florence, being able to walk pretty much all over town with great ease. Lots of shops and restaurants right outside the front door. The room was clean and so was the new linen every day, they came in to turn down the bed and left some great chocolates. There was a patio on the top of the hotel that was open pretty much 24 hours a day where we could see the Florence skyline. The breakfast was very good with great coffee. There was also 24 hour self serve coffee available on the 2nd floor along with a billiards room that was kind of cool. A stones throw from the Ponte Vecchio as well. Really a perfect stay for us, and we are kind of high maintenence. Only regret was we didn't stay longer. We will insist on the same room if we ever go back.
“A wonderful hotel choice”
We were apprehensive that a 12 suite hotel would meet with our normal hotel experiences but we were more than just pleasantly surprised. Everything about this hotel was first class from the staff to the rooftop bar. If this does not satisfy even the most discriminate tastes I would think one should adjust their expectations. I would highly recommend this place without reservation. In order to be fair, I would not recommend it if you have small children or are handicapped and cannot walk up the stairs to the rooftop. There is an elevator to reach the floors to the rooms and for breakfast area but the rooftop is a bit of a hike up the stairs but worh the trip!
“Excellent service in a genuine period building”
The service is typified by our late arrival (due to airlines) being met with a very good complimentary supper of cold meats and cheese (veggie option available). The suite was large and the 2 rooms offered plenty of space to relax in. The hotel doesn’t have a lot of rooms, so has a feeling of space. The location was good, being no more than 10mins walk to the centre and the breakfast was good, if a little pricey. Having said that, the bar prices for a bottle of Prosecco was most reasonable and when drunk from the rooftop bar at sunset made for a great evening. Overall, the standout feature was the genuine effort the staff made to ensure you had a good stay.
“parfait”
tres complet et grand service
“will definitely return”
This was a belated honeymoon for me and my husband, and we couldn't have picked a better place, the suite "Angelica" was fantastic, and after visiting a couple of the museums, it really put this hotel into context, as it was a former palace. Our suite was vast with 40 foot high ceilings, beautiful fireplace, big comfy sofa, huge ornate mirror, a balcony, I could go on! The only very minor negative was the bed could have been more comfortable, but we would gladly put up with that if it means another stay here. The staff were great, very helpful, as well.
“Amazing suites”
We had a wonderful trip staying in this Palace! - the room was amazing and the staff very helpful. This is a very special place to stay and well located to all the sights.
“Wonderful rooms. Great location.”
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The marble bathroom was beautiful. We received a turn down service every evening. The location is perfect. It is right beside a vaporetto stop which has service both up and down the Grand Canal to the train station but also to the airport. This made for easy handling of luggage. It is easy walking distance to the main sights. The little bar in the hotel had a lovely view. A nice place for a drink and snack at happy hour. Breakfast is available and is a nice hot and cold buffet with plenty of fresh fruit, cheeses, meats and lovely pastries.
