“Hotel nord florence : bon rapport qualite prix”

“Good value”
This was a very reasonably priced hotel. The street side was quite noisy and lit with the windows open, and we could not figure out how to make the air conditioning work so it was a little warm at night. The breakfast was very good. There was a supermarket nearby which was convenient. The staff seemed friendly enough, but did not speak much English. The hotel is reached by bus 29, 30, or 35 and you can follow the building numbers to know when to get off. There is a bus stop near the train station which we found by asking at the tourist information center. Bus tickets can be purchased right outside the train station.
“you get what you paid for”
It was a good hotel, far from the center but once we figured out the bus system we were able to get around.
“Good value”
Hotel staff was great, especially Angela. Shower head leaked but was replaced the day before we left. We had ordered a queen size bed but got a room with 4 twins. They were very obliging in remedying the situation by offering us another room or moving two beds together with a king size sheet. We opted for the latter because the room size was larger. The only complaint I had was that one of the beds had a concave area that the mattress sagged into. Rather than bothering the staff I switched it around myself. The night before we left I found that someone had switched it back. But on the whole the stay quite pleasant. If I had it to do over I might have stayed closer to the center of the city but that would have been considerably more expensive.
“Exhausted...”
My only big complaint is that my room was not ready and I was told to come back in half an hour. After that it still was not ready and I had to find the cleaner and ask her to please clean it next. She only took about 25 minutes but to an exhausted traveler, it all felt like an enternity. Breakfast was good and convenient location by airport.
“Hotel Supposed to be near airport”
This hotel was reportedly close to the Florence airport. My departure was scheduled for 6:50 AM so I needed something close. When I asked the desk attendant about getting to the airport, he said I could walk there in 20 minutes or take a taxi, which would take less than 5. I did a trial walk the evening before, but couldn't find any plausible way to cross some of the very busy streets: no crosswalks. So I ordered a taxi, which got me there in about 3 minutes, at a charge of 17 euros (about 25 dollars).
“good for one night”
It is bare bones but does not pretend to be anything else, hence the cost is honest It is close to the airport, 1KM, BUT the taxi costs 18 euros for a one minute ride. The worst rip-off in Florence. no working refrigerator. TV: just Italian channels
“Hôtel Nord à Florence : bus direct gare”
Dommage que l'hôtel soit situé loin du centre touristique. 3 lignes desservent toutefois la gare en direct, ensuite il faut marcher 10 mn avant de voir un premier site historique. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de piscine : chaleur étouffante à Florence en été. Climatisation sale et moyennement efficace. Personnel serviable.
“Not impressed”
This hotel is quite old, and our mattresses were very poor. We were glad that this was just a one night stay. The breakfast was ok but not great.
“Horrible dont stay here and waste your money”
Hotel attended was rude, short tempered and just plain crazy. I asked 3 times what the cost was for a taxi to airport which was only a mere5 min away. I was told 10 euros and the cost is 20 euros which is highway robbery. I also sent three emails to the hotel prior to arrival inquiring about transfers to the airport and was told there was a free shuttle. There is no such shuttle at all.
