“Charming B&B in perfect location with great breakfast.”
We were met by an extremely friendly and helpful young lady at the front desk. There had been some confusion with our reservation with Expedia, so they put us in the suite to make up for any inconvenience to us. we loved our room, it was charming, extremely large for Florence, beautifully decorated with extremely well done murals on the wall, and the bathroom was large, new and charming. We had a balcony that looked out over a quiet and private courtyard. It was only a few blocks from the Duomo, museums and shopping and restaurants. It was the most charming and largest hotel room we had while we were in Italy for 2 weeks. The breakfast was also the best with a large assortment of fresh fruits, eggs, meats and cheeses, bread and cereal, fresh squeezed orange juice. The air conditioner worked well and we were very comfortable. I would choose to stay there again and would request the same room. The building and the room were very clean and modernized. There was access to spa services which we did not use, but will if we go back.
“Trendy Apartment style diggs in Florence”
The Name MSN Suites is VERY misleading. Thought this was going to be a hotel but it was not. It was actually very cool. Although it looks like you may be staying in a less then desireable hotel you are actually feeling as though you have a small apartment in florence. the staff was very nice but BRING SOAP & SHAMPOO, for some reason they don't like to reload those for you. the breakfast is very good and the staff is very helpful. It was cool having a place extremely close to everything and in an old building. Really enjoyed it after the initial shock of no hotel front! would stay there again for sure.
“Beautiful restored hotel”
The hotel was perfectly located and comfortable. It met all our expectations. The only issue was that it has no lift and is in a very high first floor a we were travelling with a baby.
“Florence's secret”
The Palazzo Galletti is tucked away up a little street 2 minutes away from the Duomo, it is in a central position and all the sites are within walking distance. The room's are beautiful and very clean and spacious. The small breakfast room is quaint and the style of the hotel fit's in with the romance of Florence. It is definately one of those little secret hideaway's that you can share with a friend.
“Great trip”
Wonderful experience from start to finish! Great room, friendly and helpful staff. Would certainly stay here again.
“Pleasant Little Hotel in great location”
We had a great room in this Hotel with double height ceilings and a fantasitic fresco. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was also good. The location is very good being just a short walk from most of the top Florence attractions.
“The ideal location for Florence!”
An excellent, relaxing experience! Wonderful, helpful and attitude-free staff. Location of the hotel is excellent to explore the city. Quite! Lovely balcony to enjoy a nice glass of Chianti! Will return to MSNSUITES Palazzo Galletti when we visit Florance in future.
“Good Location”
As said in the previous review, the hotel was not easy to find at first but once found there was a very warm welcome. The hotel states it is a B&B and breakfast is continental style & adequate for most people. Although the exterior looks a little forbidding from the outside street the bedrooms each have a balcony to an inward facing couryard making it very cool in warm weather and a tranquil escape from the city heat & noise outside. Due to a slight mistake over our booking we were upgraded for one night to another very beautiful suite and found the hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for all of Florence's major sites & many galeries and museums such as the Duomo, Uffizzi & Accedemia etc. However, good comfortable shoes and socks are a neccesity for walking around this charming city. Most places of interest are walkable from the hotel. The only downside of the hotel was the climb up 2 flights of stairs to reception with suitcases and no porter available!! Otherwise a perfect stay and would definitely return.
“Friendly Italy!”
This hotel is not handicapped-accessible, but that might be the only drawback. The room (actually a small suite) was attractive and bright, with very high, frescoed ceilings. The shower worked well, and the room was on the end and basically quiet, except for the church bells, which we didn't mind at all. The location was great: right downtown in Florence. We walked to everything, and felt a safe and friendly vibe. Restaurants were reasonable, and lines to major attractions were not bad. I wouldn't want to drive in Florence, but remember that, to walk everywhere, you should be in decent physical shape. We were--good thing, because my wife wore a pedometer, which registered 7-8 miles daily. I guess one of the keys to success in traveling here is to prepare. We read internet reviews, suggestions for places to visit, and we possessed several guidebooks. The roughest portion of the trip was being ratcheted into tight Air France seats for eight hours, Detroit/Paris/Paris/Detroit. But we loved Italy, Florence, Italians, Renaissance art, and our hotel. No regrets!
“Definatly will go back”
Great Location, very frendly staff I would definatly recomend anyone to stay their. Next time I want to stay in a suit, but book the Suit early since they are already booked through next year. Florence was so much fun to walk around.
