“Great hotel, great location”
We really enjoyed staying here! The staff was friendly and the hotel was in a great location. The room was large and spacious and in a very clean condition. We would definitely stay here again.
“A treasure”
Every room was unique. Beds were hard but the location and the rest of the room made up for it. Staff was very helpful except for the woman the last day. She didn't seem to want to loft a finger for us. The guys made great recommendations for dinner and called all restuarants for us. Free wifi was definetly a huge plus. 3 minute walk to duomo and restuarants.
“Lovely hotel in beautiful Florence”
Hotel was very central and easy to get to (10 or 15 min walk from train station). Is a converted convent on a square so a pretty amazing place! Good service from the staff and nice breakfast. Only a couple of things that weren't great: on arrival I was shouted at by some homeless people on the square who tended to congregate there. We actually stayed away from the main hotel around the corner and had a key to enter the main door to then go up three flights into our room. There was no staff as it was more an apartment arrangement and we were concious of people entering the building after us, especially as two women (mum and daughter). However, the room was amazing with lovely views and we got used to the arrangement. I would reccomend it for an authentic Tuscan experience!
“Great Atmosphere”
We stayed in the hotel annex that occupies one floor of an appartment building located less than 100 yards from the hotel proper. The area was quiet and just a few blocks from the duomo. The piazza seemed a bit seedy with vagrants sleeping there at night, but we were never approached. Our room had interesting views of the street and the tallest ceiling of any place we've ever stayed. Breakfast was provided right across the hall. We enjoyed the experience of staying in an older, well-maintained building with considerable charm. Wireless access was included, but the need for a new code every day was a minor inconvenience.
“Visit to the Past”
While updated in every way, we felt as though we had stepped back 300 years. We enjoyed that ambiance along with the staff that was outstandingly helpful. It is a place not to miss.
“Great location and friendly staff”
The location is ideal. It is within walking distance of all the sights, and a parking lot and pool are a plus. The hotel is clean and well maintained. We were informed that renovations are planned to update the rooms. The desk clerk was very accommodating when we informed her that we had an early check out. She arranged for an early breakfast to be ready for us. Breakfast was great - a nice buffet with a varied menu. We never did figure out the coffee machine - guess it's an Italian gadget. Highly recommend - the hotel not the coffee machine!
“Great hotel”
The hotel was great! The staff was very helpful and courteous. Our room had everything we needed and more. The location was excellent for seeing the city on foot. We would definitely stay here again.
“Lovely Hotel”
We loved the Hotel Loggiato dei Serviti. It was a beautiful old building with the comforts of today. The room was big and spacious. The folks who ran the front desk were very friendly and kind. They were always happy and ready to answer our many questions. They were very skilled at getting things done. The breakfast every morning was delicious. It was nice that our server recognized us after the first day and knew what we wanted every day. Loved the hard rolls and warm hardboiled eggs. The hotel was in a great location and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Thumbs up to Loggiato dei Serviti.
“Excellent hotel, magnifique, très bien situé”
Magnifique hotel, dans un palais florentin, excellement situé !
“Grandeur in a small hotel”
The Loggiato dei Serviti is impressive - valuted ceilings in the lobby, an elegant staircase, richly decorated furnishings, and decorated ceilings in your room and bathroom, each a grand size and elegant. We took pictures of the massive old hotel door and its old inner locking system! The generous suppy of lavender scented soaps and lotions provided delightful aroma therapy. We found the neighborhood safe for walking in the evening to a restaurant a few blocks away. We had read that the hotel has rooms in a building a short distance away and that our room might be located there. Turned out to be true for us, but we were pleased with the room nevertheless, as described above. There were great views for pictures when you put your camera out the open windows and looked to each side. But the street is narrow and you could get to know your neighbors across the street when the large windows are open - rather fun city life for us rural folk. Breakfast was available in our building so we didn't have too go back to the main building for breakfast.. The location helped us with an early morning reservation to the Academia, just around the block, The next stop at the Uffizzi was about a 15 minute walk. Although the hotel's distance from the train station is quite doable walk, there is a downside to walking with suitcases and that is the crowded, narrow, cobbled sidewalks. We decided to take a taxi for the return trip!
