“GREAT STAY FOR THE MONEY AND ANIMAL FRIENDLY.”

It is a great hotel this was our secound time staying here and we loved it the staff was great you received a hot breakfast in the morning more than what i was expecting and i have stayed at other howard johnson before but this one was the best out of them all and it was clean animal friendly as well which was a plus for us since we have a lab, but you could not tell that animals was allowed. I read some of the reviews before i went to this hotel but it is not half as what they said it was.

We stayed during darlington race weekend. Rooms were comfortable, clean and staff was friendly. Lots of constuction going on so the restaurant next door was not open. Good value for the money.

The hotel room rates are very reasonable. The hotel is currently being renovated. It looks better and better with each passing day.

The room rate was reasonable for the amenities offered by the hotel. The physical condition of the hotel, as well as service provided by the hotel staff both have room for improvement.

Florence, SC IS a southern community. The Howard Johnson was solid, clean aand comfortable. It wasn't fancy, but was was what I desired. If there was a fault, it would be that the hotel didn't have pick up service to the local airport. Restaurants were plentifdul,

Only adult breakfast was included. My sixteen year old son wasn't allowed a complementary breakfast???? That was very disapointing as I purposely choose a hotel for the reason of not wanting to have to worrie about the cost of breakfast or finding a place to eat.

Hotel is under renovation. Many rooms underconstruction. Our room had the bathroom door hanging off the hinges. Many of the construction workers are staying there. We reserved a non smoking room but there were so many construction workers outside smoking the smell came through the air conditioning and the room smelled of cigarettes all night. The hot breakfast advertised was next door in a mexican resautrant and consisted of two pans of cold eggs and potatoes. There was not even any coffe. We could not find anyone in charge that could speak english. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There were other hotels in the area less expensive but we thought Howard Johnson would be a little more upscale. We were sadly dissapointed.
