The property condition and amenities were disproportionately poor compared to the daily rate we paid. Including city taxes we paid just under USD 800 for three nights. The condition of the room, the lighting, the beds, the mattresses, the bathroom, the hot water pressure etc. was bare bones at best. My family and I were completely unprepared for what we encountered. On the plus side, the front desk staff was courteous and professional and housekeeping was on schedule. But the room itself was definitely a reminder that pictures on Expedia and the daily rates were a poor predictor of what we actually experienced.

Overall very good area, you have access to all the areas in city center in walking distance from hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Specially, I had lots of question regarding my plan for renting a car and traveling to Cinque Terre and he answered all of them and helped where I could park after coming back from trip. The property was old but cosy and quite. The only complain I have is that the shower needed repair that they did nothing and we put a temporary fix on it. Also, they did not give us new or clean towels and we had to use the older ones we used the day before. But overall, it was a good experience and I recommend this hote.

The breakfast area was lovely. There was a beautiful view that we enjoyed while eating our breakfast. It was a great start to the day. We wished there were a restaurant nearby that we could have dinner after touring or a late night drink.

The hotel was located very close to the old city which was very good . The staff nice and welcoming . The only problem was the parking which not stayed in advance the cost of parking which was very expensive 35 Euro per night . The hotel for not tell us on advanced that we need to pay for the parking only when we arrived . When we arrived the car we had enough fuel for 790 km and when we got the car back it stste only 500km which mean that the guys in the garage drive with our caf we hope we wss visit the City . W Ed hope that we will not have other suprise in the future

Artsy hotel with a number of shared spaces. Just inside the restricted area and walking distance to all main sites. We parked at the parking garage just outside the restricted area and walked in. Call ahead for this option or valet parking options as well.

The room was spacious, but a bit aged and dark. The bathroom need a bit more cleaning though - a lot of stains in the shower area. We almost missed this hotel! The sign was so small and if you carry your suitcases you may not notice the hotel. The room was spacious, but a bit aged and dark. Very nice stay!
Really likes this hotel as it was close to the historic attractions, but just far enough away to be quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast and having access to the terrace. The hotel is full of art, which means we always had something to admire in the hallways. The staff was very kind to all of us.

Amazing find in the middle of Florence.
What an amazing place! So close to the centre but still quiet and away from busy tourists. It was a classic Italian hotel with lovely original decor and my view of Florence and the cathedral was incredible. Best view I’ve ever had from a room. Breakfast was also in a conservatory room so glass all round and the view was fantastic. What a great place. When I left it was raining and 4.30am and the wonderful man at the desk offered me his umbrella - amazing service!!!!

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was a bit out dated but it was clean especially the bathroom. We had a nice city view. The food in the breakfast area (not included, surcharge) had a good variety and had a nice view of the city.

An affordable option but very funky. The hotel theme is art so much of the decor reflects that. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The front desk staff were helpful. Overall ok.

The room was small but also cozy. The hotel is located within walking distance of all the major museums and architectural marvels, assuming you can and like to walk.For everybody else, there are taxis for the short ride needed to get to the sights. My room was on the 3rd floor and the breakfast room on the 4th, with the elevator out of operation at the time of my visit. The Hotel lobby is on the 2nd floor (1st floor for our European friends). So, there are steps every time you enter or leave.(Florence is overrun with steps at all of the attractions, so be prepared.) Breakfast was filling and served in a wonderful room with a nice view of Florence. Would have liked hash browns or fried potatoes but got by just fine with what was offered. The staff is wonderful and really helpful.They keep the place clean and spruce it up with artwork from a local artist. If I visit Florence again, I will stay at this hotel!

Took about half an hour to check in because they seemed to be unable to operate their own computer system and kept stopping serving me to serve other people despite the fact that I had been there first and had been waiting a very long time; lack of cleanliness and extremely outdated and scruffy furnishings; there was no hot water and when I mentioned this to reception they didn’t even reply - just nodded and continued, no apology or effort made to sort this out. Terrible - very glad I was only there one night, will definitely not be going back, and do not recommend to others!

Ok, but only that.
Hotel Panorama is an ok hotel quite close to the main sights of Florence. However, much is left to be desired. The entrance is a dark stairwell (or miniscule elevator), leading into a reception/bar area more akin to hostels. Our room was not a place we wanted to spend any time in, the light source is a bare light bulb, and half of the walls are painted mud brown. The beds might be the hardest ones we've ever slept in at a hotel. The bathroom door had no lock - which really is fine - but it didnt even have any door latch, making it possible to open the door just by brushing up against it slightly. There were also ants in the bathroom. The terrace is small, but has nice views over the town, as does the breakfast area. The terrace however feels a bit abandoned, with the straw roof falling down in places. On the plus side, there is AC, and the staff is nice. This is an OK hotel to sleep in a few nights, if your standards aren't that high and you don't plan on spending any time at the hotel other than sleeping.

We are sorry you didn't like Hotel Panorama Artinside, we are simple, a bit unusual, and for sure not a luxury hotel. that's the kind of place you have booked probably because of the very convenient price. The beds are all brand new and of an average density. Some people love them, some, actually the minority as you find them too hard. Unfortunately we can't have different kind for different taste, we are sorry. About the place, we are set in a 19th century building, not so old for an ancient town as Florence, and we are very proud to have a elevator that can host up to 4 people, not many palaces, hotels included, in town have one and happen to find elevator that can only host 2 people here, We know that in other cities this is different, but probably finding different things, habits and items is the reason for travelling. very charming and vintage hotel, property is dated but I like how it is being maintained well. love the view from my room and even the bathroom/toilet has a big window overlooking the cathedral dome, it's a little weird multitasking - doing your business while appreciating the view at the same time. there is also a rooftop terrace where a nice top view of the historic city can be seen. breakfast is simple, nothing fancy, just basic stuff you need to get yourself going through the morning. staff are kind and very accommodating. nice experience. will recommend and come back next time I visit Florence again.

Hole in bathroom ceiling
Half of a ceiling tile was missing in the bathroom and I’m not really sure what was up with that. Also found some hairs around the bathroom. The bed was fine, not super comfortable but not uncomfortable and the linens and towels were clean. Front desk was nice. Overall it was okay.

The staff was rude especially the woman at the front desk. They don’t allow you to do an early check in even if you arrive 30 minutes only ahead of time. The woman said she didn’t know if there was a refrigerator in the room... then said their was but we could only put drinks. She was very unhelpful and uninterested in answering any questions. Hotel is old. No views from room. Breakfast is nothing great

Thank you for your comment that allow us to explain one o two issue. For example the earlier check in, this is generally not possible on high seasons, as August. Check out is possible up to 11 am and check in time is from 2 pm, we need the 3 hours in between for cleaning, fixing , manage things, and trust us, they are not that long to provide you a clean, made up room and bathroom, About the food in the room, probably it's nice having it in your room when you need it, but it's much more less nice having ants running on your bed. We are sorry but food must be kept in the kitchen, not in the room. We have the breakfast hall always on disposal for having some food. Speaking about breakfast, we are always happy to listen to tips and suggestions for improvements. We as Italian have a very different kind of breakfast, anyway, we at hotel Panorama Artinside are serving international breakfast, inclueded cold meat, wurstel, cheese and crumble eggs. And eventually, it's up to you choose a room with view or not when booking at a more expensis rate. Your reservation was a standard triple. Kind Regards,
