“Great Tourist Hotel in Florence”
The Hotel Panama is owned and operated by a father - son team who take great pride in their business. I stayed here in November of 2011for 3 nights and had a great stay. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The Hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable, free in room wifi, free continental breakfast and high def cable TV. Great location in a quiet neighborhood less than a 15 minute walk from the main railroad station (SM) and within a 15 minute walk to the Duomo. 3 minute walk to the nearest ATM ,5 minutes to a nice little supermarket. The hotel also has same day laundry service which was a life-saver when my bottle of balsamic vinegar spilled all over my clothes inside my bag on the first day. In my opinion, this littel hotel offers one of the best values in Florence. I will definately stay here again
“Definately coming back again!”
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Panama. It was a well maintained hotel. Staff was friendly and accomedating. Excellent parking area if you've rented a car. Complementary breakfast is excellent.

My first impression was very positive. We were welcomed in a warm and friendly manner, and made to feel at home. The experienced improved and I was left feeling that this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in for a long time. Excellent service!

“Modest but memorable.”
I found the staff friendly and obliging, and all spoke good English. The breakfast area was small but more than adequate for an off-peak visit, though I look forward to the day when continental hotels discover marmalade. For a single room, mine was a very decent size, and once I got used to the traffic outside the window, which tails off at night anyway, I slept well. The hotel is, however, a little way from the centre, which is perfectly acceptable for someone who likes to walk-it took me 28 mins to get to the Uffizi gallery, for example.
“Wee gem”
Lovely small hotel only 15 minutes walk from the centre of the city and the main train/bus station. Well laid out rooms and bathrooms with everything I needed. Very friendly, helpful staff only too happy to point out the sights of interest on the map. Limited choice at breakfast but adequate to get the day started - and the coffee was great! Would definately stay here again but would ask for room away from the front of the hotel as it is quite a busy road and the traffic noise was quite obvious.
“Nice place”
A nice hotel, the whirlpool bath was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was slightly disappointing. Hotel Panama is about 20 minutes walk from the main sights which after a long day walking round the centre is a bit tiresome.
“Good location, good service, comfortable”
This hotel is on a quiet street just away from the noisy city centre, but it only takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the Duomo and the central market with all its restaurants and bars. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and all seem to be multilingual. My room was small but comfortable, with en-suite and air conditioning (essential in Florence in August, 34c). Very clean hotel. Breakfast is simple but nice, with fresh coffee made to order. The quiet location means you can escape the madness of the town centre, and have an undisturbed night's sleep. Only a 15 minute taxi ride from Florence airport.
“perfect”
we stayed at the hotel panama in april and were very happy with our entire stay. the staff were always very helpful to find what we were looking for, car rentals, food places, directions, etc. the room was beautiful, exposed beams, large windows, jacuzzi tub...wonderful. breakfast was included in our stay which was good and a computer was stationed in the downstairs hallway with free internet access. the only downfall of our stay here was that we didn't know how to not flood the shower...every time we showered the water wouldn't drain quick enough to accommodate the water flow, however, we never checked in with the staff on how to fix this, so it may have been our own error. fantastic hotel. if we were to go back to florence we would stay here without a doubt!
