Named after the painting Mona Lisa (known as La Gioconda in Italian), this hotel was the site of the recovery of Leonardo da Vinci's famous work after it was stolen from the Louvre in 1911. Today, the hotel enjoys a prime location within a short walk of Florence's most popular sights. “Un excellent choix”

“Excellent location. Nice Hotel”

A quiet site, about 5 minutes walking from the Station. A very nice hotel for the money. Good breakfast. The only problema is there isn't a lift, but it is normal in Florence.

“Great Hotel”

Hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel itself had a nice feel to it. It's in front of the otto tram stop (which takes you to the center of Roma) . Trastevere has great restaurants that aren't pricey. Testaccio does too, and it's right across the Tevere.

“Location, Location, Location”

If you are looking for location this is the place. Centrally located, staff is very nice, pleasant, helpful. Outside barely visible from room that's the only complaint I have but this place is great for the price. You can walk everywhere you need to see in Florence from here. So if your looking for an inexpensive place to crash with a very pleasant staff...Hotel La Gioconda is fine.

“Great location”

This hotel is located in the heart of the old section of Florence and is convenient to everything. The room was clean and had a private bath. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator. The staff was pleasant and helpful at all times. The breakfast provided was good also. I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to go back.

“Great location”

This very modest hotel was a perfect location for us - one block from the Duomo, around the corner from the Plaza San Lorenzo, a few blocks from the train station and Santa Maria Novello. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent.

“Excellent for the money”

Good central position.Friendly helpful staff.Need however to be aware of the steps to the bedrooms and that their is no lift. To reach the top floor there are about 60 steps.
