“Fabulous location”

The location couldn't be beat! Looking out the front door to the Duomo. It was one of the few places in Europe that could handle 4 guests in a single room. The only disappointment was that there was no hangers in the closet that could handle trousers or slacks but that is pretty minor. We also had to get used to the European style shower door that only goes half-way across the shower and leaves lots of water on the bathroom floor. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The central location in Florence made it easy to stop back to the hotel after shopping and museum visits.

“Great Location - Can see Giotto's Bell Tower from Front Door!”

This hotel is small, but it is great. Can't beat location- can walk to everything & cannot get lost as you can see the Duomo Bell Tower from front door of hotel.** Satelite TV is Italian only. I did miss CNN. Room is Euro sized(small), but bath is clean& has bidet! ** No tub though- only shower. Gelato available right outside door! Hotel will give you free map and off you go! I got cab from Train Station when I arrived, but walked back and saved 10 euros. Walk was ten minutes. Safe location as well. Excellent price for location.

“Great Experience”

The location, near Il Duomo, is ideal. The staff was courteous and helpful and the price was very reasonable. The room was small and it did not have a view. But the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. My experience with Hotel De Lanzi was a great one.

“Outstanding value”

This small hotel was wonderful. The location was outstanding just one block from the Duomo and just a few blocks to most of the major historic attractions of Florence. Rooms are small but adequate. Air conditioning is adequate. Elevator is slow and small but adequate. The hotel staff was helpful and enthusiastic. Value was outstanding given the surprizingly low price. Internet kiosk in lobby.

“Perfect place to stay”

This was a perfect place to stay. It was roomy, clean, had an elevator, great breakfast options and the location was amazing. It was extremely central and you are only a few steps from the Duomo and the most amazing gelato store in Florence. Everyone was extremely courteous and spoke very good English. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Florence.

“Surprisingly Impressed”

My wife and I stayed 2 night in this hotel on July 8 & 9, 2011 and have to say that although the room seemed small initially, it was a good fit. We were traveling with a carry-on suitcase and a hand bag each, which is to say that anything more than that would not be advised. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the bathroom was modern. The stand up shower was a little on the tight side but in proportion with everything else, ... would not recommend for body weight of over 200 lbs. and the air conditioning was weak. The location is unbeatable, ... one street off the main piazza (square) and minutes away from all main attraction, great eateries and approximately 20 minutes leisure stroll from the train/bus station and easy to locate. The hotel is also equipped with an elevator and although very small and narrow, it is appreciated for bringing the luggage up & down. We would definitely stay here again!
