“Ideal location”

Very comfortable. Location was ideal, close to railway station and bus stops but not noisy or scary. Would have liked tea-making facilities and some drawer space instead of TV if we had our way. Breakfast was generous and varied. Staff pleasant and obliging. Would choose this hotel again.

“Perfect location, nice hotel”

The hotel was in the most convenient location right across from the train station but far enough away that it felt safe. The room was small but nice and very clean. Our sink clogged and they fixed it immediately. It's only a 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and restaurants and shops are right there. They had a large safe drawer in the room. The shower was a stand up and was small but functional. The staff was very nice. The street noise was blocked out because they had 3 sets of window coverings including moveable shutters, glass windows that could be opened, and curtains. Beds weren't that comfortable but none in Italy were anyway. The breakfast was really nice also. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

“Florence hotel”

Convenient hotel - right next to the railway station - about 100 m - in the historic center. Can walk to all the sights. Buses, trains are all a short walking distance away. Room was fine. Quiet despite being right next to the railway station. Basic breakfast. The hotel front desk was helpful. Only negative - wifi did not work in the room. Would stay again.

3 nuits dans cet hotel près de la gare.1 chambre avec trop peu de lumière, mais changement facile grâce à l'hyper gentillesse de TOUT le personnel! Petit dej pas top mais vraiment on s'y sent bien, ils sont vraiment pro et adorables! L'hotel est proche tout et rapport qualité prix = très bon.

“Great buy”

Small hotel but it had nice modern decor. Very conveniently located. Just don't have an elevator for you to take your luggage to the room if you are on the second floor. The breakfast is modest. Staff are friendly. The internet was free.

“Small and friendly”

We chose this hotel primarily for its location being close to the train station and it was indeed close and very easy to find. Location was excellent and within 10 - 15 mins of most sites. The rooms we had were booked as singles but were in fact doubles, a bonus. They were very clean but a little old fashioned and in close proximity to the small kitchen and dining area and we were woken by the clatter of crockery quite early so if we returned we'd ask for rooms away from this part of the hotel. The staff were very friendly, not at all stuffy and very helpful.

“Average Hotel”

Our stay at Hotel Cosimo de Medici was average. The hotel is very hard to find. When we arrived, we waited 10 mins before we were waited on. There was another couple that the front desk was helping. Upon getting into our room, it had this strong smell. I don't know how to describe it other than an old medicine cabinet smell. I opened up the french doors hoping to air it out. Only to realize, we shared a balcony with the room next door. Without an option to leave the doors open for fresh air, we had to close them and lock them for security when we were not in the room. Location was not the best in terms of safety. When walking to and from around our hotel, I felt like I had to hold on to my purse a bit tighter. However, it was very convienent when we arrived to the train station. It was about a 5 min walk. It was great when we needed to take an early train to Pisa though. Breakfast was nothing special. They do have delicious hot chocolate though! The bathroom was a bit run down, shower was tiny, which is normal in Europe. Also, internet was free which was the best!
