it may not be in the center of town, but it is easily within a 5-10 minute walk. The staff was very accommodating and eager to assist us in any way. Never had a moment I was not satisfied with it!

Very friendly and polite staff during my entire stay room and facilities are well maintained and clean excellent location walkable to train station and local main area would revisit this hotel if we ever come to Lucca again!

Poor Wifi. Friendly staff. Not great for kids as pool didn’t open until the heat of the day was upon us. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely pizza restaurant a few doors down, with excellent Wifi and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Horrible service fir a 5 star hotel
Although the hotel was very nice, the service was just terrible. Room service, housekeeping (needed an iron and they couldn’t find one), bar service at Henry’s bar was all incredibly slow and really bad.

We had an exquisite time in Florence in great part to staying at the oasis which is Villa Sina Medici. Each day after enjoying a busy and evenf day of exploring the treasure chest of history that is Florence we would return to Villa Sina Medici, find a lounge in the shade, and swim in the pool to rejuvenate ourselves. The staff could not have been more kind. The hotel lobby includes several beautifully appointed living areas for resting, reading, conversation, and cocktails. I will stay there anytime I return to Florence. Thank you to everyone at Villa Sina Medici for making our time in Florence perfecto!

We stayed in a super spacious suite overlooking the beautiful garden filled with flowers and the pool and also the street! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Would love to visit again!

Beware Premium rooms
Location was good, and having a garden and small pool was great. Otherwise it was all pretty average - a tick in the box but nothing special. Only issue was Premium rooms - we paid for Premium (highest bracket and notionally in the top floor with best views) only to be told that the hotel website was wrong and that Premium rooms were on every floor. The top floor room they offered for second and succeeding nights was smaller with single sink and shower attachment over the bath. Frankly I was left with the feeling that ‘premium’ applied only to pricing - don’t bother.

This is not a 5 star property. This hotel pictures are misleading and compared to other 5 star hotels in the area. The hotel price is too high for it's value. I felt I was in a 3 star or a 4 star hotel and I did not feel safe at the hotel.

Very mediocre - 5 star…not so much
We came to stay at our honeymoon and it was just fine. We hoped for excellent service due to our special occasion and no one did anything or gave us perks. At first I thought it was a cultural thing, which is completely understandable, but when we went to our hotel in Milan they showered us and celebrated. Also claiming to be 5 star is an overstatement. It was the bare minimum to be qualified. I would say 3.5/4 star if anything. Plus there was construction going on in the pool area which made relaxing a little distracting and the pool isn’t heated, so be advised when booking off season. The people there are nice, we just hoped for more of an effort due to the special occasion.

It is a beautiful old hotel and I stayed there to follow a path my parents took in the 50’s. The Sini hotel group is supposed to be amazing. I found it average. But you forget differences in Europe and America. It wasn’t that clean. The people were nice. It is in an ok location and taxis come fast. Food sub par. It was underwhelming.

Highly recommended 5 star hotel.
The hotel location is perfect, in walking distance to the railway station and to the center. The hotel is a truly 5 star hotel. The breakfast by the pool is the best. Everything is great. Highly recommended.

Bathroom smells drainage, room 444 has a broken hook of manual shower, a person over 150 pounds doesn’t fit inside the shower, you either shower with one hand to avoid hitting the wall water faucet, bathroom door lock didn’t work, breakfast is poor like 2 stars hotel, the supervisor of breakfast room picked his nose more than 3 times within 5 minutes, just duty place I wanted to throw up, AND offers to use the CAR forget it!!! Your times or schedule is never the same as the hotel. 1st time in my life’s vacations with a very bad experience.

Beautiful Hotel, slight walk to destinations
The hotel is very nearby the train station (walking distance) which is convenient. However, it is a bit of a walk from the city center / tourist destinations. It is still within walking distance, however, they do offer a shuttle (during certain hours) to a main palazzo to make the stay more pleasant. There were a few streets that I didn't love to walk past to get to / from, however I was never in danger. There are little food options nearby, but what I did find was good. The hotel itself is beautiful. The lobby, service, breakfast, room, views etc were spectacular and were above and beyond what was expected. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you want the cleanliness, comfort and safety with your stay. The only slight downfall is the location to Florence's "hot spots".

Beautiful hotel with large rooms and comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Though we did not have time to use it there was a nice pool. A little out of the way from the main tourist area but still an easy walk or cab ride.
