Property Amenities
Cellai Boutique Hotel occupies a restored 18th-century building located off Via 27. Decorated with a stylish contemporary touch, the hotel also features a collection of unique fine art and antiques mixed with 50s and 60s furniture and photos. The Florence property houses a series of salons (lounges)—one of which is an exhibition space for local artists. The other lounges showcase the manager's personal collection, and certain areas have themes. One wall, for example, is devoted to the Italian liberator and hero Giuseppe Garibaldi. There is also a corridor devoted to paintings by teachers at Florence's Fine Art Academy, and other public areas showcase "ArteInCasa," an in-house Contemporary Art Exhibition Program. All lounges host monthly exhibitions of contemporary arts including photographs, paintings, and sculptures.
Classical music (recorded) is played as breakfast is served in a large room with a faceted skylight. Room service is available during limited hours, and coffee, tea, and small cakes are offered throughout the day (all are set on a table). Wireless Internet access is available in public areas and all guestrooms (surcharge). Business services are also available.
The hotel offers the Billiard Room, to play and relax. Guests are invited to read one of the arts books with a glass of Chianti wine in "La Bella Vita", the library-wine and cocktail bar. "La Terrazza" Honesty Bar is an open-air sitting room overlooking Florence hills and roofs (open bar service). The hotel also features the "Spazio Bianco" contemporary art gallery and meetings area.
Parking is available nearby (surcharge).

“Cute hotel in a good location”
Very quirky hotel with lovely public areas, the roof terrace is so lovely! Very well located for sight seeing + breakfast nice!
“Love the location”
This hotel is within walking distance of just about everything. A majority of the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast that was provided was better than I expected.
“charming hotel”
Florence is so beautiful and this hotel is so pretty and full of charm. We really enjoyed our stay here - you must check out the roof garden, it's awesome.
“Excellent”
My roommate and I stayed here over spring break and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was extremely affordable and very clean and comfortable. It was cute and charming. The free breakfast was very good and everyone was very helpful and friendly. It was also conveniently located. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“We loved Florence!”
Cellai Boutique Hotel was the perfect location for us on our vacation to Florence. The hotel is far enough off of the beaten path that the street out front is not busy or loud, yet it is close enough that we were able to walk everywhere we went. It is about a 7-10 minute walk to the Duomo and about 10-15 to the Ponte Viccio. Breakfast was somewhat modest but it definately tied us over until lunch. I may suggest some WD40 for some squeaky doors, but other than that the hotel was wonderful! We enjoyed the outdoor roof garden even in November!
“An inexpensive gem”
We stayed here for two nights and had a fantastic stay. Although the rooms are small, the public areas are quite nice. Thre is also a lovely rooftop sitting area which offers great views and a nice place to take a break from a busy day of sigihtseeing. No elevator at this hotel which makes moving your luggage to and from the rooms somewhat difficult. An excellent stay.
“hotel cellai florence”
“Would definitely stay here again”
We loved this hotel, the room was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and its location made it convenient to walk everywhere. We loved the complimentary breakfast every morning - it consists of mostly cereal, croissants, ham and cheese, and fruits, juices, milk, and cafe of course. They also have a computer for internet access in the lobby. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Florence.
“true Italy..at it's old world best and charm”
we loved this hotel and the wonderful hotel staff. It is old world charm and they even have bikes to use during your stay. We can't wait to go back next year. The location and ease of this hotel make it a great find. (may not be for those who can't get along w/o an elevator!!) They have wonderful art and great classical music along with candlelight "thought of the day" in the lobby and sitting areas.
