My daughter and I spent three nights at the end of October at this lovely hotel in Florence. On arrival in the evening we were welcomed with charm, our twin-bedded room was delightful, with interesting paintings, an ornate candelabra, a balcony and a good sized bathroom. We took a lift to the 6th floor and saw the city laid out before us from the deserted roof terrace - we also saw the sun rise over the Duomo from this terrace early on the morning of our departure. Breakfasts were memorable - in a vast elegant high-ceilinged room with a painted ceiling and plaster cherubs the meal resembled a banquet each morning. We were minutes from S Maria Novella and the Duomo, the Medici Chapels and S. Lorenzo (with its great market), and the Uffizi, Piazza Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Arno were all an easy walk from the hotel. It is also so close to the S.Maria Novella Station where we caught our bus to Pisa Airport. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. I have already recommended it to my family!
