My wife and I have just returned from a short break in the beautiful city of Florence. Staying in the Astoria played a large part in our enjoyment. The hotel staff went out of their way to be friendly.
The breakfast room is not what one would usually expect, with ornate sculptures and artwork.
Areas of the hotel are looking tired and in need of cleaning or repair, especially the communal carpets. The menu in the dining room could do with refreshing more often. Despite these minor niggles we would certainly return and recommend the hotel.
