This was a Renaissance palazzo and still shows some of its past glory - tapestries, wonderful staircase and beautiful ceiling fresco in the magnificent breakfast room. The public areas are spacious and very comfortable. Our room was big with a huge bed and large bathroom with a real bath (not just a shower). The breakfast was good and plentiful and the staff polite and very helpful. If you like slick, modern, newness then you may not like this hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again one day.
