The 16th-century palace that Bonciani calls home has been providing lodging for visitors to Florence since the 1800s. Since renovated and modernized, this Florentine palace still includes marble walls and floors, original frescos, and ornate furnishings. “Hôtel BONCIANI en plein coeur de Florence.”
Ce séjour à l'hôtel Bonciani a été au-delà de nos espérances ! Excellent rapport qualité prix pendant la période des fêtes de fin d'année. Personnel très attentionné et parlant parfaitement le français. Chambre toutefois un peu défraîchie (des travaux seraient à entreprendre : moquette usée, papiers peints usés). Calme absolu et petit-déjeuner copieux.
“Great Location”
The best thing is the location. Only a two minute walk from the train station and very close walking distance to all the sites. Breakfast was included but was quite limited. Free wifi but only worked in lobby. The room was quite small but fine for a place to sleep.
“Yeah, it's ok.”
It's a reasonable hotel - it was a great location near the station and the Duomo, the staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, and it was clean. Unfortunately, it was aging and a bit rough around the edges - so while the room was cleaned everyday, it still looked a bit shabby. I got a great deal so it was very worthwhile but I wouldn't like to pay high season rates. And definitely not as bad as most of the reviews I read.
“Back in time in a bad way”
The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location as it is walking distance to all of the must see locations in Florence, as well as just a few minutes from the central train station. Walking into the hotel was like walking back into the past, but not in a good way. Nothing seems to have been updated or as well maintained as it could be. They have wireless internet, but it works best in the lobby area and one of the receptionists was very rude when I asked for the password to see if the weak signal in my room actually worked (it didn't). The breakfast was mediocre and limited. The rooms are on the small side even for Europe and the decor is at least 30 years old. The bathroom looked about 20 years old. Linens were cheap and the bath towels shed. Only positive is that everything appeared reasonably clean. However, cleanliness does not make this hotel worth the price. It was the most expensive location on our entire trip and I'm glad that I was able to use a coupon code because full price is not worth it. Spend your money somewhere else.

“Cheap but you get what you pay for”
The only good thing about the hotel was its location. The room was not clean and the heater was making noise when turned on. Do did the main light. Asked the desk to look into this, but it was never fixed. The shower doesn't have partition, so the floor gets all wet when the shower was used. The breakfast was included but was very limited offering. The worst part was the staff --- they were not very helpful when asked help and some were very rude.
“Flithy in Florence”
We were very disappointed with this hotel. The room smelled very musty, the bathtub actually had black in the caulking and the wallpaper around the window had what appeared to be black mold. Things did not appear clean in general.
“Only stay if no other options”
Lobby has a stale, moldy odor. Rooms are extremely small and have the same moldy smell. Bathrooms. Where shall I begin? Shower stall barely gives enough room to turn around and one can see mold around the base. To get in the shower one has to step over the bidet. I only wish I was a trained acrobat. That may have made it easier to maneuver. Hair dryer appears to be from the days of Mussolini. It looks like a minature vacuum hose with very little power. Not a hotel for women. Possiby hotel for students on a dirt cheap budget. Breakfast was very limited and disappointing.
