It has a great location, but they tell you it is a hotel, and when you arrive it doesn’t have a reception , or anybody to greet you, it is a rental room BNB

Grear location room super equipped great sleep no noize great balcony, the only bad point was the WiFi which was not working, but okay it makes you live the moment.

Clean Room located close to attractions.
The room was in a great location, close walk to major attractions within the city. It was kept very clean and turned over daily by the staff. However, the breakfast left something to be desired as it consisted of only bread w/ jam/Nutella and yogurt. Also, had more of an AirBNB feel as there was not always a staff member available on the property. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Functional a place to stay
The place was hard to get to especially if you are driving because traffic is really strict in the historic part of town. The outside of the building is under renovation and does not look appealing. The room was clean and functional. The personnel was kind, although they didn’t speak much English. There is no sit down area in the kitchen so you need to eat your breakfast in the room. The location is great if you plan on walking.

Perfect location next to Santa Croce, Uffizi 10 minute walk, great restaurants all around hotel. Room is modern, clean, cold air conditioning, water bottles everyday, croissants for breakfast, coffee machine in kitchen, very clean bed linens and pillows, our room had two doubles and a single so could fit 5 no problem, best choice for us, made our trip to Florence very memorable, would stay again for sure! There is a cooking school 8 minutes north of here called Chef Factory, this was the highlight of our trip!

Wonderful staff!!
The staff was very accomodating and did not have any racist misgiving unlike the rest of Venice; I found the people of venice not so welcoming- in fact they don't like tourists much, so try not to bother them much. The hotel bed was comfortable; they provided all toiletries; breakfast was a neat spread. They even let us leave our luggage in the hotel until it was our time to leave. It would have been nice if they revovated the hotel overall. I would recommend this hotel.

Loved it.
My family of four stayed here for a few nights and had a wonderful stay. We would definitely come here again and would recommend it to our friends. The room was very clean and comfortable, and also very well designed. Great location.

The location is a short walk from the Ufizzi. Parking was a nightmare. We gave up. Drove out to the underground parking garage and took a taxi to the hotel.

The room was clean and friendly staff. The only challenges are this accommodation doesn't have lift, so you have to take stairs to level 1.

Fine stay, mediocre service
We arrived at Black 5 after a long and frustrating morning/afternoon of travel. We took the bus with our large suitcases, and got to the building around 1:15. We buzzed up to be let in, and was told that check-in was not until 2. We were then let up, but told by the housekeeper that we could leave our bags but had to leave immediately. We were all but pushed out the door! (It would have been nice to use the bathroom....) When we came back, a new person was at the front desk and was polite, but very direct: "You need to pay the city tax in cash, please and now." He was perfectly cordial, but didn't show us to our room or anything. For the rest of our stay, no one looked up at us as we entered and left Black 5, much less greeted us. It all felt very impersonal, which was exactly the opposite environment we'd want from a "B&B" (and to be clear, this was an old-school pensione, not a bed and breakfast). The breakfast, which was the whole reason we chose this place (in order to save money and also be able to get an earlier start to the day) was packaged croissants and cornflakes, with powdered coffee. Powdered coffee, in Italy?! The room itself was fine, and the bathroom was clean (although the shower nozzel seems to have been attached improperly, so it blasts water onto the floor when you're bathing). The one thing that was REALLY annoying was the trash and recylcing truck that seemed to come by at every single hour of the day and night, waking us up quite a bit.

It is NOT a hotel! It's a B and B. Misleading name
You pay for breakfast for 4 people!!And for breakfast you get no milk even! You get biscuits and crackers with 2 yoghurts in a fridge and coffee satches. A small cornflakes pack but no milk!! You will be charged 30 euros/ hour after 6pm arrival as a call out charge to let you in. Staff absent/unhelpful. No lift on ground floor. 3 flights of 71 stairs first so imagine if youre pregnant and have twins in a baby buggy!! and alot of luggage! Awful! left the next day. Not a hotel ;( room was clean but we had a mezzanine floor for our 2 year old twins..no cots...not appropriate...all 4 of us slept in a small double bed ; ( very tired hungry and unhappy ;(. Left next day. No one at checkout so had to leave keys with cleaners. Street views of other concrete building. No nice sights to see. Dark alleyway.

Great hotel for the price, friendly staff, clean, modern decor. The hotel is great for no fuss travelers who are okay with not everyone speaking perfect English and who do not need a 24hour front desk, but we did not need that so it had just what we needed. Great access to the city. Taxis were close by if needed.

The location of this bed and breakfast is great(very close to the main attractions). If you get a good deal it does worth the stay.You need to carry your luggage one floor to reach the elevator. The breakfast is not good,there is an electrical kettle in the room to make your own tea. But if you are a coffee drinker you need to go out and buy your breakfast coffee!!! There is a tray in the room containing some prepackaged foods as breakfast. Not good at all!

Florence Apartment
If you are looking for a spacious, comfortable, clean and large apartment in central Florence, this is the place. We had a wonderful time in Florence and this apartment was perfect. Room 14 has double height ceilings and comfortable beds. There isn't much of a view but we didn't intend to spend much time there. It's not a hotel so don't stay here if you need room service and a restaurant. The staff are brilliant and the set up is great.

Nice apartment great location
Location just round the corner from Santa Croce great for sights and nightlife. Think should be noted that it's a little hard to find and once you've got through the front doors you then have to go up several flights of stairs to get to the apartment entrance. once you have keys you can then get a lift up most of the stairs. Also there is timer lighting in the stairwells which you need to locate in the dark. Staff very friendly, complimentary breakfast in room is good for late risers, though we only had sparkling water which I thought was a little odd and the 10 a.m checkout is also too early

Good location but the street could be a bit noisy at night. Very friendly reception on arrival. Nice big family room, and free wifi very useful when overseas. A bit weird that we got asked to pay for breakfast the last morning before we departed. Unfortunately our Italian not good enough to debate with the breakfast lady and no management on site.

Nice B&B to visit florence.
The Hotel is good, Its on a third floor and it could use a better sign. The location is great, very well located in the heart of Florence, easy walking distance to all the mayor sights. The staff is only staff certain hours of the day, and does not have services of larger hotels. However if you're looking for something simple, and clean in Florence, its a good place. Its located on a third floor and rooms are very limited. Just remember this is a B&B

Good budget travel.
Friendly staff and ideal doe for the person on a budget. No internet or wi-fi and small accommodations but clean and comfortable and in a good location - about 10 min walk to train station.

The worst ever
BEWARE, NOT AS DESCRIBED!!! Our room #8 had no telephone, no internet, no alarm clock, the "mini-bar" was an empty fridge with 2 bottles of water over 5 days. There were springs poking out of the top of the mattress. on the right side. The bathroom smelled like urine every time it was closed up, a couple of lights were out and when we asked the front desk to replace the bulbs so we could see better in the dark room, we were told that is not possible. We also asked about a telephone or alarm clock and were told there was nothing they could do to assist us. They are supposed to change the sheets and towels every 3 days; our sheets were never changed as evident by the ink stains and other stains that were always present. Location is the only good thing, other than that a total rip off. I have been to Italy many times and this was the WORST!

It's a suite, not a hotel
Because it's not a hotel, there was no reception - only from 2pm-6pm. I don't think they knew my arrival time, and I wasn't sure how to get into the apartment building - there was no communication on this. So I waited for a while when I think I could have checked in earlier. Also there were a lot of stairs and I had to lug my heavy bag upstairs. I guess if they knew I was coming, they would have sent the lift down, but due to the miscommunication, this was not done. Then again, there were at least two flights of stairs to the lift landing. I think the building was quite centrally located in a generaly safe area (I was a solo traveller), the room was comfortable, and they gave free water (the only one of the three places I stayed in Italy that did this) but the fact it only had someone at reception for a limited time is a definite disadvantage. Oh, and is it not normal to provide tissue paper in the bathroom?

Best part about this hotel is its location in the historic part of Florence. Uffizzi, Academia, and Duomo are all easily walkable. Problems we encountered involved missing the check-in window (14:00 - 18:00) by 5 minutes. The English-speaking clerk had left, and we had to wait for the young woman who cleans the rooms and provides breakfast to ride over on her bike. Since she spoke only Italian (and we speak only a few words), we had to postpone most of our questions until the next day. Although the hotel advertises a lift, you have to walk up 1 and 1/2 flights of stairs before you can access it. Not recommended for people with even minor handicaps. Room and bath are small -- even by European standards. No chairs or desk, so we had to improvise to use the in-room internet. Breakfast was ordinary, but without fruit or hot food. There are 4 keys required to progress from the front entrance to your room. Don't try driving yourself, since even the taxis have to follow a convoluted route; and parking is next to impossible.

Очень понравилась гостиница. Катарина (хозяйка отеля) была очень радушна и отзывчива, предложила бесплатные завтраки в ресторане на площади (Нептуна), доп плату за это не взяла. Отдыхали вдвоём в период с 13 по 16 февраля. Каждый день меняли полотенца и кровать, в номере были мыльные принадлежности и питьевая вода. Благодарим за комфортабельный отдых в центре Флоренции

La proximité avec les lieux touristiques et la taille de la chambre sont très agréables. L’absence d’accueil aussi bien pour l’arrivée que le départ sont décevants. Le petit déjeuner est à prendre dans un resto sur la place de la seigneurie mais pas avant 9h le matin. L’hôtel se situe juste au dessus du teatro verdi donc apportez vos boules quiez... dès qu’il y a un concert tout vibre jusqu’à minuit! Il y a une bouilloire dans la chambre... mais à quoi bon puisque pas de tasses ni de thé etc...

Dear mrs Sandrine. Sometimes when you are staying in a Bed and Breakfast right in the middle of the center, there will be some noice. That the Black 5 Florence is right next to the Verdi theatre, you can read in the description when you make your reservation, where the place is. As for the breakfast, same thing there, it is served in a beautiful restaurant, in one of Florence most beautiful squares, just a few minutes from the B&B, from 9-11. This is also to read on the website. There are B&B's that have breakfast in the B&B. The Black 5 Florence is not of them. As for the water boiler, you have everything you need in the small kitchenette-cups, glasses, plates, spoons and tea. Have a good day!

Posizione eccellente e comoda a tutto . Camera molto spaziosa . L’unica nota dolente era la pulizia della camera , e la colazione , in quanto quest’ultima non era nella struttura ma in un ristorante a 5 minuti a piedi . Abbiamo dovuto fare colazione nel plateatico esterno in quanto dentro non erano aperti . La Colazione era alla carta e non a buffet , un po’ scadente come qualità .

Toppenboende!
Sköna sängar, rena rum och bra badrum. Läget är perfekt och värden hjälpte oss med tips med mera. Soptömning på gatan utanför gjorde inget eftersom isolerade fönster nästan helt tog bort alla ljud. Ett jättebra boende som vi varmt rekommenderar!

Black 5 Florence è un B&B, c'è scritto quando prenoti che non c'è la sala colazione ma un fai da te. la biancheria non la cambiamo se gli ospiti stanno soltanto un paio di notti. Cmq la ragazza ha sistemato la camera ogni giorno. Per quanto riguarda la fattura che volevate, ho chiamato la commercialista per ricontrollare come funziona ed infatti lei mi ha confermato che funziona cosi, l'importo risquosso dal B&B e lo stesso importo della fattura.
