“Great place to stay in Florence.”
We found the Hotel River to be a very pleasant and convenient place to stay in Florence. Everything was very modern and comfortable, and the Staff very accomodating.
“A wonderful experience”
Exceptional quality and comfort in abundance. Great location for walking to everywhere. Safe and beautiful locale. Delicious breakfast and outstanding and friendly service. I spent the entire summer traveling through Italy and this was one of the best. The air conditioning rocks too.
“Pleasant hotel”
Overall impression was good and extremely good location in Florence with a few minor points to note. Easy to get to from airport and quickly checked in with all facilities pointed out. Room was well presented with a large double bed and single which doubled up as a day bed, nice after long walks! Bathroom was again a nice size though could have done with a deep clean in the walk in shower. Views were limited but a nice veranda on top floor gave good views of river Arno. The only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities though there was the obligatory machine in the bar area by reception. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the centre though this did make it very peaceful and quiet and allow a gentle stroll. There is wi-fi in the hotel but only in the public areas, but speed was fast and free after gaining login and password from reception. I would recommend this hotel and would use it again. Nearly forgot, breakfast was varied and a good selection available. A nice place to stay in Florence.

Perfect location, walking distance to everything, nice clean rooms, frindly staff.
“Loved it!”
The hotel was clean, staff were professional, breakfast was great, and has a beautiful roof top terrace view. We enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable enough. Very comfy by European standards, with fluffy towels and an actual queen bed (not two twins shoved together). The only thing I didn't love was that it is a bit of a walk to get to the town center. Our traveling partners had a place overlooking Ponte Veccio and it took us 15 minutes to meet up with them in the morning. But there is a few exceptional sites just near the Hotel River. It wouldn't have mattered but it was blazing hot and I had food poisoning from something I had eaten in Rome.
“great location”
we went to Florence to see George Michael in concert, hotel was a 10 minute walk from the piazza the concert was held in. Hotel was really well situate just 100 yards from sight seeing bus drop off/get on location and local buses so getting around and exploring was really easy. We stayed on a bedand breakfast basis, breakfast was nice, great selection, get down there early for the lemon polenta tart
“Great find!”
This was a great hotel with an awesome view. It was within walking distance to most attractions. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped with dinner reservations and transportation to train station and airport. The room was spotless and clean. The hotel was fully booked and we never heard a sound from anyone. A very quite stay. The hotel was recently updated and the decor was beautiful. The breakfast was european style and very very filling. You can't go wrong with Hotel River it was a great hotel for the money.
“Beautiful hotel”
A beautiful hotel with superb views over the Arno and on to the hills on the South of the city. Even though our room was at the back of the hotel it was beautifully decorated and our bed was very large and comfortable. Breakfast had a very good choice of sweet and savoury food. Well worth the 15 minute walk into the centre and we'd stay there again in preference to the noisy middle of Florence.

“Good location, good value”
Stayed overnight while visiting Florence. Hotel was very clean and modern. Front desk staff were very helpful both at check in (able to accommodate our request for type of room, recommend restaurant for dinner which met our requirements) and at check out, followed up to ensure we got a taxi on time. Breakfast is good, with great variety offered, including fresh croissants, meets, cheeses, fruit, yogurt etc. Location is good, away from all the noise, wonderful views of the river across and within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants.
