Not at all like description. Toilet did not work properly, water leaking from ceiling, bath fan not working, heater not working, room smelled from food being cooked as part of a hostel in connection with hotel. People smoking and vaping in entry. Manager aloof.

It is not a hotel it is hostel. One star place as indicated on the sign in the hotel. There is no reception just a person in a bar on the main floor. Noisy all evening and night until 3am. Our room was not cleaned for five days. Please do not trust this place for three stars standards.

Property needs a serious upgrade on decor and amenities. WiFi was terrible. Most of the time didn’t work. Breakfast was ok with limited options. Wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

Great little hotel
Was right in the heart of Florence but also very quiet. Easy access from train stations and to all sight seeing. CHeck in and out was easy and a breakfast included was a plus. Lots of choices for breakfast. Air conditioning struggled a bit, but really can’t complain. Could open windows and let the breeze cool it down at night ( just had to tolerate the mosquitos). We loved the balcony off the room. A big plus. Bed was a little firm for my preference. I also was surprised when I got the bill- thought I was paying closer to 120/ night. 3 nights cost me 514(this included the tourist tax). I easily could have misunderstood when I booked. I would recommend this hotel and would book here again if a return trip to Florence.

You get your money's worth. Florence is an expensive city as far as hotels are concerned. This hotel does what it's meant to. One or two nights at a reasonable cost with reasonable accommodations. 5 min walk to S.M.N station and 10 min walk to the Duomo. Grocery store down the street to buy what you may need decent Italian breakfast. Again, all what you'd expect for the price you're paying. WiFi was a little problematic, however didn't cause me major inconvenience. Rooms were plain and had some hints of age. Good for a quick stopover and see the sights. Wouldn't recommend for romantic holiday or first time trip to Florence. However definitely would for a quick stop through.

Cozy room and nice location
The hotel is a 5-min walk from train station and there are many restaurants nearby that close late at night. Breakfast was included but dont expect wide range of choices on food, just a few of traditional italian cake/ bread, hard-boiled eggs, cold-cut, cereals and yogurt, coffee and juice. Rooms are clean but not very spacious. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Azzi hotel and would recommend it if you are on a budget but looking for a decent room with private bathroom.

Centrally located near the station. Everything was great, room and bathroom was clean and decently spacious, old charm setting. Only downside was there is no elevator/lift and it was tough to carry out bags 2 flights up to another hotel which is part of Hotel Azzi. But I’d still stay here again. It is a 8 min walk to the station and 10 min walk to Duomo area.

Quaint hotel in great location
This is a great little boutique hotel in a perfect location in Florence, walking distance to the main train station and sightseeing areas. The staff was friendly and helpful not only with the hotel but with sightseeing recommendations. The breakfast was a nice selection of fruit, breads, meat, and cheeses. I will stay here again when I visit Florence.

A return trip to Hotel Azzi
We stayed at the Hotel Azzi five years before, and liked it so much we came back. It is an easy walking distance to the Duomo, and there is loads to do and see nearby. There is also a laundrette on the next street that allows you to wash and dry your clothes - the owner/ manager is a bit of a character :). The staff at the hotel are all pleasant and helpful, and the hotel is very clean. I always enjoyed my breakfast as there was plenty of choice, the food was good and they didn't rush you. I feel that the chambermaids should have a special mention as they kept our room scrupulously clean and tidy, and were very busy, yet took the time to say good morning. We would always try to book with this hotel first when we come back to Florence.

A hotel on a medieval street
The Hotel Azzi is not for everyone. It has old world charm. Breakfast each day is in a common room and buffet style. There is even a small playroom for kids, each day the staff dust and wipe everything all off for the next child. I have been a faithful visitor to the Hotel Azzi for last 10 years. A bit of modernity has creeped in, free internet, screen TV etc - but the antique furniture and stone floors remain. So, I will always come back. There is no elevator, or air conditioning - so pack light and ask for a room on the first floor ( for Americans that means the second floor). This hotel is also located about a 2 minute walk from the train station and the Santa Maria De Novella Church-my favorite church in Firenze. This hotel is also reasonably priced. It is probably true to say that Galileo walked the same street where the Hotel Azzi resides. Simply magical.

Nice Hotel close to the Train Station and Center
I have been visiting Florence for many years and for many years I have stayed at Hotel Azzi. It is a nice place at a reasonable price. Close to the Train Station and a few blocks away from the City Antique center. The market, the Duomo etc. I find the staff to be nice the place clean and that is all I need. I don't need to spend crazy money for a place I only stay at night time.

Those Aren't 3 Stars, They're 3 Bed Bugs
This was hands down the worst hotel I have ever set foot in in my life. The nice pictures you see are apparently of the "annex" portion, and not the normal hotel. We had a standard room and to be completely honest it was worse than any hostel let alone hotel I have ever stayed at. There was a very bad odor throughout the hotel corridor and it was even worse inside the room, which resembled a cross between a haunted attic and an insane asylum. When we complained about the room we were told outright that hotels.com was showing misleading photos. The room was very untidy, with stains all over the walls, a lamp and safe that's didn't work, and unsecured window shutters. The worst part was when we discovered bedbugs in the room at 1 in morning and had to leave, and were on our own to find an alternative accommodation. I will give the hotel staff credit for giving us an immediate cash refund, though they did not make any effort to find us an alternative accommodation. Please, do not stay at this hotel.

Good hotel
Good little hotel for a no frills stay. We stayed one night, and it was perfect for our needs. It is located very close to the market, which is definitely worth a visit with loads of options for a delicious meal and a lovely market. The staff was friendly. We had to check out too early to try the breakfast. The room was comfortable. The internet was spotty and did not work at all most of the time.

We loved it! Thomaso and the other staff were very helpful. The went above and beyond in welcoming us to Florence. They gave us a map of the city and helped direct us to various locations.

Basic large room with a little kitchen area which was nice. Old furniture but it good shape. Great breakfast. Good location. Close to train station. Excellent breakfast with very helpful staff. However, there were "dust bunnies" under the bed. The cleaning staff needs to periodically clean under the bed.

Comfortable and convenient.
This little hotel felt like a home away from home while we were there. Comfortable bed, air conditioning that had real power if needed, and a good breakfast spread. The nearby restaurant recommendations from the front desk were fantastic, and we felt like we had a good neighbor in Giulio, whose family runs the little gelato restaurant place on the corner. The neighborhood was safe, clean, and close walking distance to the Duomo and other interesting sites.

Old, but very quaint hotel. Breakfast was OK but not a lot of variety. Location was excellent due to proximity to train station and walking distance to most of the sights of Florence. Staff was friendly overall and was nice enough to give us a ground floor room when they saw our heavy luggage (they have no elevator). Bathroom was a little odd with the shower being in the middle of the room with no stall or tub.

Worst hotel in my life.
Dirty. Old. Uncomfortable. Unsafe. Breakfast is crap. I prepaid and on check out owner insisted that we repay the total amount. We were able to show credit card payment and called card company. I finally said I was not paying twice and left. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Springtime in Firenze
Very handy location when you arrive from S.M. Novella Station, and also a good distance from all the sights as well as a park in the other direction if you need an hour of downtime. The staff were very pleasant. The hotel is rustic in style and whilst the "no frills" approach would be miserable in a more modern hotel, it works really well here. The shower and air conditioning are in fact modern, and these are the comforts one needs. Breakfast was somewhat chaotic but there is sufficient to get your day started. I would think twice before staying here again for the sole reason that our sleep was constantly interrupted throughout all three nights we stayed. The walls are thin and the doors slam loudly, next door is a cheaper accommodation where young people party loudly all night, even when they are not partying you can hear them showering and, erm, using the toilet.

Right around the corner from piazza San Marco a 1 minute walk if that,good sized room for the 4 of us 2 adults and 2 teenagers, Serviced every day and the breakfast was excellent and the staff were the best so far on our entire trip.

Stayed here in late September with my wife. As we flew I into Pisa and were getting the Terravision coach transfer (which I'd highly recommend) I wanted somewhere close to the SMN train station which is the drop off & pick up point. As hotel Azzi is a short walk it fitted the bill perfectly. We were met on arrival by the friendly and helpful receptionist who gave us good directions to the major sights. The room was clean and the shower was nice and powerful. Breakfast was a cold buffet which included the usual suspects including lovely fresh bread and rolls. As we have a good breakfast which takes us through the day this was ideal. Check out was very quick, just be sure to have enough cash for the 3.50 per person per night city tax. If you turn left out of the hotel there is a lovely cafe on your left at the corner with Via Nazionale serving really fresh sandwiches and pastries and their chianti is lovely! Overall if you want a reasonably priced hotel in an excellent location then in my opinion you can't go far wrong with Hotel Azzi.
