“Friendly Bed and Breakfast”
Small bed and breakfast located in Valle, AZ near the Grand Canyon run by a very nice couple. Our room and bed was very comfortable and relaxing. In the morning the husband cooked a wonderful homemade breakfast, which included biscuits from scratch. It was exactly what we needed after hiking in the Canyon. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place to stay I truely recommend the Dumplin Patch.
“Grand Canyon B&B”
This Bed & Breakfast is only open during the spring/summer months of the year. We came here in October, the last weekend she was going to be open, then they come back in the spring, after the weather warms up. The Grand Canyon is 22 miles north of this house, which is not bad, and it's in the middle of nowhere, which is great for star gazing. Our host was very kind and cooked lots of options for breakfast. It has a very homely feeling and we felt like we still had our privacy. The water is shipped there, so you have to be very conservative. The only thing to do in this town is go see and eat at the Flintstones Park/Diner. Which was cool and the people there are nice too. Overall, if you want to drive about 28 minutes to the Grand Canyon and want peace and privacy and a hotel with character, this place is for you.
“Highly recommended”
Very friendly. Good advice for things to see and do locally. Went above and beyond the typical B&B services.
“A nice oasis”
We enjoyed our stay here very much. We felt welcomed and cared for. DP is a convenient 20 minute drive from the main entrance of the park and a great alternative to a hotel. It was nice to be able to leave the park and relax back at the hot tub outside the hustle and bustle of the canyon and Tusayan. The layout of the house is nice because it separates rooms nicely, but adjoins them conveniently to the common areas. Breakfast was served at the time of our choosing. It was made to order and came with many other various sides. Judy was almost always available to help with questions/concerns.
“Excellent experience”
Our first stay at a bed and breakfast. Judy (owner) was incredibly accommodating. Breakfasts were homemade, and enough to feed 4 people (there were 2 of us). The hot tub was very relaxing. A massage therapist was available for guests for free. The location is close enough to the canyon to get there quickly, yet far enough to get away from crowds and tourists. Judy gave us a great tip: a spot along the rim of the canyon that is only a short walk from a parking area, yet we only saw 5 people the whole day. The decor is Southwestern and very homey.
“Great Vacation”
Great experience with bed and breakfast. First time experience. Didn't even know about bed and breakfast prior to the trip.
“Dumplin Patch - A great find!”
You cannot go wrong by selecting Dumplin Patch Bed and Breakfast as your place to stay. Only a 30 minute drive to the South Rim entrance, Dumplin is a stone's throw off the main highway. The place is well maintained on the outside, and inside, the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, what makes this place a true gem is the innkeeper who goes to great strides in ensuring her guest feel welcomed. Breakfast was perfect both days we stayed, but what was most enjoyable was the conversations we had with the innkeeper as she made our breakfast to order. My wife and I had a wonderful time visiting the park, but more importantly, we left Arizona having made a new friend during our stay. I have no hesitation giving Dumplin a five star rating.
“Judie, phenomenal!”
Judie was just spectacular!
“Awesome Grand Canyon B&B”
Awesome experience; I love staying at B&Bs - this one was the very best !!
“Great Room but breakfast was not great”
Lovely Suite and very comfortable bed. TV was a little hard to work ( not used to satellite I guess). Breakfast was not as good as it could have been. Toast was cold and bacon overcooked. Judith was very attentive and easy to talk with and gave us wonderful advice on how to spend our time wisely at the Canyon. Thanks again Judy.
