“Quiet,clean, very informative staff, afffordable!!”

This is a fantastic motel! The rooms are small but very clean and have kitchens. We did our own dishes and set them out to dry. Each day when we returned the staff had put them away for us and completely cleaned the room. The front desk staff is tremendously helpful! Jill should be a Department of Conservation (DOC) staffer - she knows more about hiking and what to do in the entire Te Anau/Queenstown region than a lot of the DOC staffers (as helpful as they are) we talked with. If you're thinking about an affordable motel to use as a base for the SW part of the South Island, definitely considerr staying here!

“Pleasant surprise!”

What appears on first view to be a routine old fashioned strip motel -- one of many on this street -- turns out to be a well valued surprise: rooms all recently renovated, quality beds and bedding, full kitchenette, all immaculately kept. Quiet location, but walking distance from the tourist center of town. Best of all, run by a delightfull couple who could not have been more accommodating with local info and personalized service. A winner!
