A mid-sized town on the Nooksack River just 10 miles north of Bellingham and 15 miles from the Canadian border, Ferndale’s shops and restaurants are easily accessible from I-5. Visit during late July for the Old Settlers Picnic and Grand Parade, or catch a civil-war reenactment at the 350 acre Hovander Homestead Park. The waterslides and sandy beaches of Birch Bay are just 10 miles west of town.
