“Excellent Inn”

We were very pleased with our stay at Inn on the Lake. Very scenic location. Super clean accommodations, very friendly staff and very easy to talk to as well as generating quality conversations. Met all of our needs and made us feel at home, from arrival to departure!

“Home from home”

Best hotel I've stayed at in a long time. Very friendly and very clean. Lovely food and had a very homely feel at the onsite bar. Very helpful staff and would definately go again if ever back in the area. We stayed on our last night for aiport location, just a 10 minute drive away and easy to find with good parking. Not sure of what is available near by as we didn't feel the need to venture out that evening.

“Handy to airport - cosy and friendly”

Stayed first and last night of a one week vacation. Night 1 was great, as we were upgraded to a ground floor room overlooking the pool and the food was excellent, staff really friendly and service first class. I would recommend this hotel as a stop over or for smaller meetings close to the airport. It costs $40.00 each way for a taxi to downtown Halifax - so probably best if you already have decided on a rental car if you intend to visit the city. There is a lake - and the grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained, but there is also a very busy highway - close enough to hear the traffic with all the windows shut, but the owners have done their best to minimize. Only complaint is that the walls are very thin and if you have noisy neighbours it can be very distracting. Our last night was not so good. Our room was not ready and we were assigned another room on the 3rd floor. Room was lovely, but unfortunately it was an adjoining room with a very loud couple who screeched down the hallway around midnight and we could hear every word from then on. A very loud - Oh My God!! was the last straw and I finally called the front desk at 1:30 am. Not the hotels fault that the guests were inconsiderate - but maybe some more insulation might help! Have already recommended this hotel to friends who will be visiting Nova Scotia this August.

“Very quiet, comfy airport hotel!”

We stayed here overnight after landing at Halifax airport. It is easy to find being just off the highway, with great lake views, although otherwise the location is a little random. The rooms are huge, clean and very quiet. The interior decor is dated, but the comfort makes up for that. The staff are really friendly and there is a fantastic little pub doing bar food and good beer. We will def go back and stay again, and I would really recommend this hotel.
