Room and desk-staff were great.

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: Bed, front desk staff.
Cons: Restaurant needs a complete overhaul of facility, staff, menu - everything.
Location: Nothing.
The restaurant was the worst. It was dirty. The manager and waitress acted annoyed. The food that was served had no resemblance to what was "hyped" on the menu. That was supper. Buffet breakfast the next day was horrible: stale food, few choices, no apparent staff around. The room was clean and well-appointed and the bed was super comfortable. Also: signage was very poor. Passed the exit entirely and had to turn back. The only other services at the exit were a sparse gas station and a Burger King. (Should have eaten at the Burger King instead of the terrible hotel restaurant experience!)

A redo done half-way

Posted 22-Jul-2014
This is not a clean, nice play to stay. The hotel rooms are not in the same building as the lobby. When you walk into the hallway that leads to your hotel room, expect un-airconditioned, rubber stairs, with chipped paint. I did not want to stay here, but had no choice, because we couldn't find any other hotels that were around.

NOT WORTH THE PRICE NOT REMODELED

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Cons: So many things
We picked this hotel it was advertised as remodeled. Our room was clean but wallpaper was peeling in bath and bedroom areas. Coffee pot in room did not work. (We were told at the desk that certain light switches had to be on) Upon entering room a breakfast list was at desk telling us the choices for breakfast. When we went to breakfast it was a buffet very poorly done. The toast was so hard I\we could not chew it, when the scrambled eggs finally showed up, they were poorly mixed and had a lot of white to them. We went through a Burger King for Breakfast.

Pros: quiet location
Location: Splahsh Lagoon, Presque Isle
My Erie experience was fantastic! I did not need to travel far at all for my favorite destinations and of course, the eateries. Their complimentary breakfast was so spot on! That saved me lots of extra $$$ for the other activities in the area. Should I ever revisit the Erie area again, I would return to this hotel.

Cheap and cheap looking

The only good thing about this hotel was that there was a nice bed. Everything else was old, the tub and bath door were rusty, the carpet old and worn. And some loud humming outside that went on the entire stay.

The room was dirty, especially the bathroom. The coffee maker did not work. The room smelled really bad. Our first clue that this was less than an upscale hotel was the bottle opener nailed to the door frame of the bathroom. It was definitely not worth the price.
