“Recently renovated, great hotel”

We weren't expecting much with this hotel but were pleasantly surprised. Our room had been recently renovated and had a large flat screen TV. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. We had a room in the centre of the hotel and it was pretty quiet, considering the hotel is located on a main road. Breakfast was good, there just needs to be more tables in the breakfast room. Overall, very happy with our stay here.

This is a clean hotel. Centrally located. Friendly staff. I would go back to this hotel.

“OK overall”

Hotel is well priced and well placed. Staff really helpful. The free Limo top take you to and from the local resteraunts is a great idea! The only thing to be careful of is that this hotel sits between the North and south bound I101 route so the rooms at the extreme ends can be noisy. We asked to be moved to a centre/upper floor room and it was fine. Recommended, particularly if you can time it with the Oregon Classic car club staying there and parking their great cars outside!

“reasonable price for stay a night”

so there's many inns and motels around this area, i choose to stay in Bestwestern. It was close from my attraction and very reasonable price with complimentary breakfast. Wall is kinda thin... I could hear a couple doing their thing all night, recommend to stay on second floor. Breakfast was good, they had all sorts of muffins and pastries, boiled egg, cereals and Waffles!!! they prepared waffle makers and mixes so you can make your own hot waffles..that was pretty impressive. Shower was small but water runs fast and their soap and shampoo was good enough i saved my travel kit:) They put air purifier machine for smoking rooms.

“Best Western Humboldt Bay Inn à Eureka”

L'autre Best Westerne de la ville me semble mieux situé. Celui-là est difficile à trouver, dans une espèce de zone. Les ch sont petites et les lits "queen" sont en fait des 140.

“Hotel room photos are not truly representing the general rooms that you are getting.”

After checking in, we went to our room, found that there is no A/C. Call the front desk, the phone did not get to the front desk or house keeping. Went to the registration desk, I was told by the front desk staff that indeed no A/C. Then he insisted to sent their service staff to take care of the phone problem due to security. Then the service guy arrived and he could not fix it and he did not even know where the phone front desk button was and he left without fixing it.. How would you expect a hotel without A/C, it wa stuffy for the whole evening. This is a must have amenity for every hotel in the modern traveling. Amazing! Then we found out the facial tissue box was empty and there is no additional supply of toilet tissue paper as well, The next day the toilet tissue paper ran out. The worst thing was before we are heading to hotel lounge for our morning breakfast, at about 8:30 before the check out time at 12:00 and we put a "Do Not Disturb" sign by the door and like to come back to freashen up after breakfast prior to head back home, we found the maid already clean out our room. Fortunately, I already put our luagage in my vehicle except some bottlesof water, otherwise our personal items could be wiped out. I defintely would not come back to this hotel if I ever pass by this area again. The breakfast is OK and acceptable, but the staff was slow in replenish the food on the table, waited more than 20 min for the hot water to make my hot chocolate, but it never came.

“Near Disco Club?”

The hotel is located in a not-so-great neighborhood, where a nearby bar plays loud music well into the night. I felt this was a "motel", not a "hotel". It sits right between the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 101. Guidebook said the area was "vibrant" and revitalized...never saw that part of town. Nicest part of hotel is the inside pool/patio area.

“We won't be returning!”

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We wouldn't have stayed one night if we had anywhere else to go. It was in a very run down area and the rooms were old and worn. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They did not even ask questions when we asked to check a day early. Most other hotels in the area didn't look much better.
